My best Jagger picture from 1972 + a classic M&K shot
Posted by: vibrolux ()
Date: March 2, 2016 02:51

The Forum in L.A. 1972. Second row dead center. I snuck in my SLR and shot three rolls of Ektachrome that night. This is one of the best ones. I've kept this "in the vault" long enough. Time to share it with my friends at IORR.

After my original post, DGA35 asked for more pix. This one isn't quite as clear, but here you go!

That's quite some cleavage...

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

As a matter of fact, I had a bunch of large posters made of this shot way back when. Turned out to be a pretty good move. Providing these posters improved my popularity with a lot of girls at the time!

I don't think I've ever gone a year without looking at my pix from that show. It definitely keeps the memory fresh.

The other reason I remember to vividly is that I earned those tickets... My friends and I camped at the Forum for three days to be first in line when the ticket windows opened. A semi insane thing to do when you're 18, but when I saw section B, row 2 seats 6-7, I was pretty excited.

Awesome pic Vibrolux!! I bet Mick could easily fit into that outfit still! Not to sound greedy, but how about a few other pics from that show?

I definitely think the 1st image has a "potential". Have you tried to contact a photo gallery near the place you live in? You might make a few extra bucks with some "work" you've done 44 years ago (whistling).

Anotehr possibility : the Stones are preparing a 72 comp to be released this year. Your pic would belong to the booklet.

Great photo(s) vibrolux, thanks for sharing. I have to say there must be 15,000 photos of MJ from the 1972 tour, wish there were a few of the other Mick (Taylor)

It was "previewed" here. Videojames found the SB tapes from the 72 tour (mainly Philie) and he sent the word to the band it would make a good SA release. Apparently the band agreed...

Check VJ's posts here from last year : you'll read his exact words.

I think all he said was that they were considering it. But who cares if they do put something out it will very likely be the same old philly/ft.worthstuff we have been listening to for years.

Seems completly sane to me! The Mick and Keith shot is excellent also. At first
glance it seemed pretty sharp to me. This must have been a print from the slide.
Unless somone other than a machine was doing the printing the prints never looked
as good as the actual slide especially low light stuff. Both great shots!
