This album just keeps getting better and better. This one is headed for the top, at least in my opinion.

Can't take the Jagger psuedo-macho vocal on this one. Reminds me of some similar stylings on Hold Back and One Hit. Thumbs down.

i've heard the song maybe 15 times over the past few days - I have two other buddies who've had the same reaction. i don't mind being in the minority - but i'm certainly not alone. i know plenty of people who are turned off by Jagger's vocal on Hold Back and who will have the same reaction on this one. Jagger's the one who needs to lighten up....

He is in better vocals mood than he has been for over 24 years.
Come on, T&A; you´re way past being a parody of yourself now.

You're in the minority...but I'm sure you'll get some agreement on the Stones boards from all the aliases you post under...there is absolutely no comparison between the vocals on this song and those on Hold Back...you need to scrape that shit right off your shoes and out of your ears too

I love the exchange of thoughts and ideas with other fans. That's what it's all about for me. It matters not if I agree with you or you agree with me. Having said that, if you can't hear at least some common vocal denominators between Hold Back and It Won't Take Long you aren't paying attention....

Thanks for validating my point about the aliases....as for my knowledge of the Stones, I've probably forgotten more than you've ever known and still know ten times more about them than you do... as for the vocal similiarities, there are none...On Hold back, Jagger is barking, screaming, and grunting the words...he doesn't sing anything...no phrasing at all...complete opposite of IWTL

I will challenge my Stones knowledge against yours any time, smart guy.As to the alias piece, I'm sure anyone that cares to know knows I go by two handles on this board, depending on which computer I'm on - there's no secret there. This is the same as making someone think you're paying them a compliment, while you're actually cutting them down...you really think you're clever, don't you??

On Hold Back MJ is much more agressive.....

On IWTL MJ is much more relaxed, some 20 years older.....

That's very much visible.... like Keith saying, he is opening up.... he has become older and realizing it....

haven't really had a chance to digest the album lyrically that much. everybody's got their take on NeoCon of course - the only real bold lyric on the album.

I don't frankly think stones fans rank the albums on a lyrical basis. we know there aren't gonna be many "statements" anymore - what we hope is that they don't embarrass themselves. personally, as I've voiced elsewhere - I wince at least on the continued fascination MJ has with his penis. The joke gets old quickly. sorry - can't offer you more at this time....
