They dont play Rocks Off very well these days.
Heartbreaker would be even worse, a total mess.
They play Bitch pretty good, but it is a bit boring.
So you can only go for You Got Me Rocking, one of the finest songs the Stones ever recorded.

If I had it my way they would play Doom And Gloom anyway.

Of course Rocks Off live will never be as good as the studio version, on which Mick and Keef sing together as a duet. The problem is that Keith can't sing and play the guitar at the same time, so the backup vocalists have to do the harmonies. But IMHO Lisa did not do it very well on the last tour, so I am really courios about how Sasha will do it.

It's true that Keith's vocals are an important part of what makes the studio track work so well... Personally, I think the main problem with the recent versions is the lead vocal. Love Mick as a singer, but there's something about the melody of this song that seems hard or awkward for Mick.

The original lead vocal is so inspired --maybe it's just impossible to match.

Well, as I made clear in the other thread, I would never choose this song for the by request spot when you have the choice of Heartbreaker which has only been played 9 times in 21 years but an opener is different. However, I'd love to see the Stones play ANYTHING different as an opener so i'm fully behind your idea. I find the song to be a rather generic rocker but it's true, this particular crowd would eat it up.

Rocks Off

Although I wish they'd play Bitch and Heartbreaker later on this tour.

Rocks Off! One of my favorites.

I would like to see It's All Over Now in the song vote on this tour. I really enjoyed it the last time they played it in Werchter and Keith played a very good and clean solo.
