Years ago Dallas Taylor attended a Nils Lofgren performance that I went to at McCabe's in Santa Monica. After the show he was standing next to me as the crowd slowly filed out.

"You're Dallas Taylor!" I said, and he nodded, looking pleased and a little surprised.

"I've always admired your work," I continued as he nodded, appreciating the recognition.

"...especially that Bill Wyman album!"

He wasn't expecting that one. He cracked up.
