MuchmoreMusic, the Canadian equivalent of MTV were upfront
filming the show, so there would be a pro shot. One assumes
the Stones would've made a soundboard recording for their
own purposes. I heard about one audience tape but haven't
seen or heard it yet, was sort of a somebody knows somebody
who............sort of thing. Will keep my ears and eyes
open...............................

I think the recording from the Phoenix will end up on the fan club DVD.

Give it time. To the best of my knowledge, there were tapers there

I dont think its unbelievable at all that it hasnt surfaced yet. Someone who taped it may have decided to make money on it by bootlegging it first instead of distributing it for free. That wouldnt surprise me in the least


I guess with the bit torrent thing now, we're being spoiled (plus only a few hundred fans were there...which means less people taping than in a stadium)

I still can't believe there's nothing circulating, it's been a week now! Anyway I'm sure the Fenway boot will be much faster to appear 4 days and counting!!

it will because there will be 35,000 people there - not a few hundred - and therefore more likely that there'll be a taper with the means (and inclination) to offer a copy right away

I'm still amazed that people are surprised the club show isnt circulating all of a week later. While you're looking for it, see if you can track down the Horseshoe Tavern '97 and Sir Morgans Cove '81 warm up shows...

I downloaded the Dead Flowers clip (link 2) now and it's quite cool! Thanks so much with Sssoul!
Recoreded with a digital camera. I could convert it to a smaller file and upload it to someone who hosts a website with enough space? Rapidshare is not exactly fast and I can only download one of these files per hour.

some of the clips are so short that it lets you download a couple before it makes you wait an hour.

by the way, the first one is the Stones coming on stage and starting RJ;
the second is (as Lorenz has noted) a bit of Dead Flowers;
the rest seem to have clear-enough titles.

Bro honey, click on the link you want from my post above (people seem to be having trouble with the first one, for some reason, so maybe start with one of the others).

that takes you to a page where you should scroll down and choose "free download" (unless you want to pay for a membership, that is!).

that takes you to another page - again scroll down and at the very bottom you'll see a little "timer" telling you how many more seconds you have to wait.

when that changes to "download" ... click that, and save to disk.

let me know if that's clear, okay? if it isn't, i'll try again. :E

well finally it works..it's strange cos I can read it with windows media player but not with Nero player..

But I guess I´ve done what there is to do... It´s just sloooow I reckon.

(btw The "luv-talk" can also be pronounced on the local dialect of Ormskirke, where Marianne Faitful was born (it´s some 15 km from Liverpool: Heard it in 1984 & it never stops amazing me how older people speak to younger there, in Britain on the whole & England in particular)

Well, good folks; I think they are overcrowded at the "rapid"link.

Do some of you guys reckon it's just a simple transfer from tape --> CDr ??

The tapers at these shows will most probably get sound-drops and other glitches that they would have to rectify before "releasing" their recording. Plus they may want to equalize it a bit etc...This takes time.

If you think a CDr of a particualr show will be in the trading circles in a matter of days after the show then you are kidding yourseleves.....

Bottom line: be patient.

I tape shows and still havent released some of them. 2 reasons. 1, the recording came out so shitty I would be embarassed to release it as mine. 2. I'm not done mixing it.

The only tracks I really care to hear from the Phoenix show are 19th NB, She's So Cold and Get Up Stand Up.

It´s loading... It´s goddammit loading, oh, gimme shelter, gimme a break, it´s coming...

Honestly I´m happy to tell the world that after some @#$%& hours of trying it finally works... Anyone else less satisfied too, after watching what has been downloaded :-( ... It sounds like a wonderful night, but it fells like someone held a camera/cell phone up his or her pocket or slt (while dancin & bouncin).

Not so. Many shows these days are hitting the "circuit" (DAD, for instance) within days if not hours. I've listen to recent Crowes, Dylan, CSN and many other acts with 24 hours of the show through bit torrents. There will be exceptions to this, but I guarantee you many of the upcoming Stones shows will be uploaded with 24-hours.
