Wow, just looked at the weather there and apparently, it does! I imagine the Stones are well protected, hope everyone else is too.

It's not raining at the moment, no, although it is genuinely chilly for the first time in a week or so.

It is mild for the time of year but I guess it will probably get much colder sometime soon but summer will start in February when I arrive in Brazil for the Rolling Stones.

I'd say it's pretty mild. Was chilly last nikght but then again, that's normal at this time of year. Not rained too much in London during the day lately.

A sore throat, or even worse laryngitis can be obtained quite easy this time of year in London.

Luckily, Mick has discovered auto tune. .

Don't see what this "auto tune" (never heard of it, checked wikipedia, see below) has got to do with the weather in London.

Auto-Tune is an audio processor created by Antares Audio Technologies which uses a proprietary device to measure and alter pitch in vocal and instrumental music recording and performances.[4] It was originally intended to disguise or correct off-key inaccuracies, allowing vocal tracks to be perfectly tuned despite originally being slightly off-key. One of the first auto-tune devices came from a phase vocoder algorithm originally developed to locate underground oil deposits.
The processor slightly shifts pitches to the nearest true semitone (to the exact pitch of the nearest tone in traditional equal temperament). Auto-Tune can also be used as an effect to distort the human voice when pitch is raised or lowered significantly.[5] The overall effect to the discerning ear can be described as hearing the voice leap from note to note stepwise, like a synthesizer.[6] Auto-Tune is available as a plug-in for professional audio multi-tracking suites used in a studio setting and as a stand-alone, rack-mounted unit for live performance processing.[7] Auto-Tune has become standard equipment in professional recording studios.[8] Instruments like the Peavey AT-2000 guitar are seamlessly using the Auto Tune technology for real time pitch correction.[9]
Auto-Tune was initially created by Andy Hildebrand, an engineer working for Exxon. Hildebrand developed methods for interpreting seismic data and subsequently realized that the technology could be used to detect, analyze, and modify the pitch in audio files.[5]

Um, perhaps he is able to sing with that laryngitis when his voice can be tuned perfectly later on?

A joke...

Here's some nice news! Sorry if doublepost ...

=> www.tv3.ie: The Rolling Stones recording new album

Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts have been in a London studio over the past week working on a follow up to 2005 record 'A Bigger Bang', and morale is high after Ronnie revealed he is going to be a father to twins at 68.

A source said: ''Ronnie broke the news on one of their first days back in the studio and they were all delighted for him. It's given everyone a great boost.

''The guys booked in for a few sessions to lay down some tracks which Mick and Keith have written. It's very early stuff - just four or five songs at the moment - but the plan is to make a full new album in the new year.''

The band - who have a combined age of 285 - are heading to Latin America for a 12-date tour in February, entitled 'América Latina Olé Tour 2016', kicking off their run of shows in Santiago, Chile, on February 3 and then heading onto Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Peru, Colombia and Mexico.

Mick, 72, was spotted in Cuba earlier this year which led to local papers reporting the rockers are set to play a concert in the communist country in March 2016 - and they are now said to be keen to record their adventure.

A source added to The Sun newspaper: ''The band are planning one big stadium show in Cuba and want to make a film about it too.

''They're also getting together in April to attend the opening night gala of Exhibitionism, their massive exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London. It's an exciting year.''

In November, Ronnie hinted the band will be working on new material this month.

He said: ''We'll maybe go in the studio in December and cut a few tracks and see what happens.

''We'll take it from there, see how it all goes. One thing at a time.''

Keith, 71, also recently revealed he is keen to get the group back in the studio.

He said: ''These guys aren't getting any younger, but at the same time, they're getting better.

''I'd love to shove them in the studio in April, hot off the road.''
