No use being negative before they have released it. Wait, hear, judge. If you dont like it you can still go back to Sticky Fingers.

Agreed. However they were still young and wild when they recorded SOME GIRLS. Priorities in life change for all of us. I seriously doubt Mc Keith Ronnie and Charlie have the same hunger they did in 1977

Are they currently in the studio?!

We are 'next to positive' they are. Keith claims they are currently in the studio cutting new stuff and just two days ago Bernard Fowler snapped a photo of Keith in The Studio.
Anything more anyone?

The Stones have often been able to surprise folks just when everyone is saying they're all washed up. Many people wrote them off right before Some Girls was released. This new album just might be great.

No offence, but that was 38 years ago.

We have gotten scattered gems on ALL latter albums (yes, even on DW).
So, if they can master the art of self-censorship, kill some darlings and select tunes that go well together, I'm optimistic.
Stuff like Laugh, I Nearly Died, How Can I Stop and Back Of My Hand can be pretty strong together. Actually, the more I think about it I think this will be great

I thought and still think ABB is great. I think its the best one from 1989 forward. Not sure why people trash it here. To them I say - they grew up and changed - they are not writing from a twenty something or thirty year old perspective. Get over it - enjoy what they give us. I look forward to the new recording....

Maybe they'll call it GREATEST HITS since not one album is called that and besides the warhorse fans seem love greatest hits albums...

Mick is still writing lyrics and providing vocals at the golden years level. Remaining to be seen is what the rest of them have left. We know the rhythm section, unless they use outside bassists, is going to be a weak point. Hopefully Keith won't feel the need to croak out some semi-c&w song, or a throwaway with a Chuck Berry feel like One More Shot. Oh, come on, it'll have one, maybe two great songs and we'll never listen to it again. And of course they'll be those who think it's the greatest since Out of Our Heads.
