Great interview with Keith on top form. Gotta love Keith . Asked about whether his current good relationship with Mick meant that World War 3 is over, he did his wheezy laugh and said, "Well I guess so. No one surrendered...."
Yes, it was all very matey but then Marr comes across as a very nice bloke. His forte of course is politics and the only time Keith showed any signs of stress was a question about the recent Labour leadership contest. Keith waffled a bit about his grandad and Keir Hardie ....and you could tell from the broadcast that about this (recorded) moment the footage was edited . The programme is really about current affairs which to get decent ratings needs a few celebs along to promote their latest product. So win win really. Keith came across as a charming old geezer ..whether it helps shift a few more units I'm not so sure. He should have asked him what his views were on the gun laws in the States given the recent appalling events there in the last few months. Really though, the interview rightly focuses on music. Mick has learnt his lesson about talking politics and has said he is frankly embarrassed about some of the things he came out with in the sixties.
