Special guests you've missed

Are there any special guests you've missed?
I do. I would love to the next artists with the Stones:
Rod Stewart
Bono
Paul McCartney
Beyoncé
Tina Turner

Beyoncé?! The Stones inviting current artists whose music has nothing to do with their legacy of style almost always ends up being cringeworthy. Remember Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera? Those guest spots were horrible.

The Stones should put music first in their choices. Age differnce doesn't matter, but musical closeness does. Gary Clark Junior was a good choise for exactly that reason.

And so do I.

ALL of the guest artists 2012-15 were awful, more or less.

thumbs up

Although St Paul and the Broken Bones, in Buffalo, kicked serious ass and I'd see them again in a heartbeat. A lovely surprise. Maybe worth putting up with some of the dross to find these rare gems.

Please no Bono.

I don't see the problem with special guests. As long as they're only on for one song, who cares? A bit of a novelty. I don't care much for Taylor Swift, but I thought she was great on As Tears Go By (?-going from memory here).

Just listened to "Since I`ve Been Loving You" and thought: Jimmy Page!

Not with the obvious "One Hit To The Body" (that number didn`t really work live) but what would Jimmy add to let`s say "Love In Vain" ?

They know each other since the beginning, respect each other, worked in the studio and I think that would work very well.

Beside so many mediocre guests that would be a special one!

Tom

You are right; also izzy stradlin played with them during some concerts in 1989.

Anyway I'd like to listen to live Ry Cooder with them or Steve Winwood.

I think he was saying Axl is a 'has been'.

Maybe he can join with Tom Waits and they can sing a Beatles tune together. So, it can be Paul McCartney and . . . ready? Tom Waits: For No One.

Yes, TorontoGirl they were very good lots of energy. The lead singer was complete opposite of what I pictured him to be. Also I noticed Charlie was on the side of the stage watching the entire performance in Buffalo. Detected a bit of Wilson Picket and Otis Redding for influences.

I've seen a few but I prefer those with some kind of "connection"...Solomon Burke on Four Flicks for example, was great. Also Buddy Guy on Shine A Light
