We're still posting early demos here, more or less.

Here we're going back to the 60s again with LSTNT.

Musicians on this track:

Steinschlag: Vocals, backing vocals, piano and organ
Duke Richardson: Bass
ErwinH: Drums
DandelionPowderman: Acoustic and electric guitars

Ah.... LSTNT!

That's almost a "golden oldie" for me, almost forgot it :-)

The IORR sessions folder was just removed from my Dropbox and I can no longer access the Facebook group. What's happened?

You pissed off Dandie in a completely unrelated post on another board and he is obviously punishing you. Quite adolescent stuff as far as I'm concerned, it would be nice to hear that your are reinstated and your efforts on the slide guitar haven't been scrubbed.

Cool! I reckon "Down In The Hole" is not the most recent version, though!

p.s. DP: hopefully in the next days I'll have some time to cut the harmonica part for "Miss You".

That's correct, it's an old version (like many of these versions) smiling smiley

Awesome! Look forward to hearing it, mate thumbs up

Thanks. The lead guitar is a LesPaul straight through a Hiwatt 50 custom's bright channel. The other guitars are Gretsch Electromatics with a tremolo pedal (YoYo, or something. Cheap one.) through the normal channel and without effects through the bright channel.

Wow, really nice! It has the feel of a song like Stop Breaking Down. I think it's my new favorite.

DEAD FLOWERS PART 1

Let's do something different this time!

This is Dead Flowers – at least it's how it sounds after session #1 – in my tiny bedroom smiling smiley

I started with a clicktrack, added both of the acoustic guitars, the vocals, the electric rhythm guitar and the solo guitar (in that order).

We'll post the progression as it comes along. Drums were recorded in Holland by ErwinH yesterday. Will post that mix when it's ready. Then the bass, the piano etc.

Will be fun – enjoy!

DEAD FLOWERS (PART 2):

Here is Dead Flowers (Part 2), now with drums.

This is the completely dry takes, with no mixing – so this is how it sounded when Erwin sent it after he inserted his drum tracks.

Duke Richardson will soon do his bass and backing vocals, and some piano is on the way, too. This is taking shape just nicely!

I really like the solo-guitar parts...and there needs to be some more backup-singing like in¨the 'Basement Tapes Style' since there isn't Mick Jagger that sings....smiling smiley

DEAD FLOWERS – PART 3:

We've continued to work on this song. Since the last time, Duke Richardson has added bass and background vocals. We have gently started to mix the levels a bit:

– Acoustic guitars are panned
– The electric rhythm guitar is a bit higher in the mix
– The vocals are higher in the mix
– The lead guitar is panned slightly to the left
– The guitar solo is put in the centre of the soundscape
– No effects have been added, and the drum levels are just slightly put down (without any panning)

All that's remaining is piano, some editing and the final mix now.

Enjoy!

Not an easy song to play (or sing), but we've had lots of fun making this one. We look forward to having piano. more backing vocals and proper vocals on our version of Let It Loose, but the vibe is captured already smiling smiley

Musicians on this track:

Duke Richardson: Bass and backing vocals
ErwinH: Drums
DandelionPowderman: Vocals, backing vocals and guitars

It's an honour to welcome munichhilton to the band! He did some great stuff in his home studio that we have tried to add to. The first thing we finished together was The Worst. Notice that we had to bring in our children to excel this one winking smiley

Musicians on this track:

munichhilton: Acoustic guitar
ErwinH: Drums
Duke Richardson: Bass
Duke's son (Sam): Fiddle
DandelionPowderman: Vocals, acoustic guitar, electric slide guitar

Re: Semi OT: The IORR Recording Project (UPDATED with Midnight Rambler)

Midnight Rambler was a joy to play. We hope we achieved some of the sloppy, swinging groove the Stones always have on this one. It will be even better after the final touches, but here it is, in all its raggedness.

Musicians:

ErwinH: Drums
Duke Richardson: Bass
Wild Slivowitz: Blues harp
DandelionPowderman: Vocals and guitars

Love your Midnight Rambler DP.

Love it as it is, but if it can get better after final touches, that will be a bonus.

Well done to you all. smileys with beer
