Help me find a Stones-themed name for a new puppy
Posted by: steffialicia ()
Date: June 27, 2015 15:30

I had the sad task of putting my darling dachshund, Ruby Tuesday, to sleep. Please offer up suggestions (except Angie) for the new friend I will adopt eventually. Could be male or female I'm going to Raleigh...I know it will help lift some of my sadness. Thanks!

Bitch

EDIT, and sorry, didn't mean that to sound insensitive to your post. it was just the first immediate and rather obvious thought!

Be hard to call for your dog when you're out in public mind you. "HERE BITCH!"

Love & light to Ruby Tuesday.

Ratbag is a tried and true name for a very sweet Stones dog

Boogie is another. Dandelion? I'll think about it

Because it's shorter, and catchier than, "Sing This Song Altogether (See What Happens)"

I once had a black cat called Omo...when she died I consoled myself with the thought that if she was reincatnated she would be 'the New Improved Omo'......

Lately I've got a cat called Cobweb....that does get some wry smiles in the vet's waiting room when they call out "Cobweb Byword".....of course everyone who knows their "Midsummer night's dream.....

A terrible thing when they die though - to be sure.....sad smiley.....(hope you find another good friend Steffi.....

It's track 8 off Satanic Majesties that a few people on here quite often jokingly suggest the Stones should play (but never will) when the chat about more obscure tracks at shows comes up..........

Flash. Male or Female. When you call it you can sound like Whoopi Goldberg and say "hey Flash, yo Flash, here Flash etc".

That is off the top of my head. Hell I could go all day with names. And why too.

My parents have a coca-poo. His name is Muffitt (no Stones reference). I feed and walk him all the time (of course I am always listening and dancing to the Stones during our walks).

People think I'm crazy. Whatsa matter wich you boy?

Thanks.

Tim

So sorry to hear about Ruby Tuesday (a name shared by Jane Rose's dog). I like sssoul's suggestion of Boogie, which has the added bonus of being a unisex name.

Was pleased to meet you, albeit briefly, in Pittsburgh airport. Enjoy Raleigh - I'm sure it'll help to ease some of your pain.
