Do we know about more than one cover?
not sure i understand your question, keith has been doing covers for a long time. another recent one is "it's been a long, long time" as part of the les paul tribute a couple years ago.
now if what your saying is correct, and i don't doubt it is, that would explain a lot !!

Apart from "Love is Overdue" I don't think we know anything. I agree "One More Shot" isn't like to surface as a solo track. Keith also re-recorded a number of his Stones tracks for Johnny Depp's abandoned documentary, HAPPY. Like "Make No Mistake" which Keith cut with Damian Marley's rhythm section for the various artists charity disc, I suspect those tracks will not be part of this release. I could be wrong, but I suspect this is what Steve Jordan talked about when Keith was on his radio show nearly a decade ago. This is going to be material in the spirit of the first two albums. We'll see. If it's anywhere close to the quality of "You Win Again" and "Still a Fool" I'll be ecstatic. While cover versions, both of those tracks from 2000 and 2001, respectively made me feel like Keith still had a stunning album to deliver.

The most important information was Teddy's which stated Universal has a deal to release the disc and a marketing campaign in place for it. My piece is just down to timing. It's better copy for Keith (or any celebrity) to say something like "my priority is the band, I'll release it when the band stops rolling" than to say, "legally I can't put it out until there is sufficient time between legs of our tour so as not to conflict with promotion of the band's efforts." It's no different than publicity changing the truth "I used this individual because we belong to the same agency" to good copy: "I've admired their talents for years and we've become good friends. We also looked for a chance to work together and this is it."

Its obvious the Stones come first for Keith, so there will be a very small window of opportunity for him to do some shows this year to promote the new solo album, if the South America tour is on this year.

From what we heard earlier, he conferred with Mick regarding when would be a good time to release his solo record, obviously not while there was steady Stones activity.
So my guess is that he's been given the green light to release the record and probably do some shows behind it, which means there is likely to be a hiatus in Stones activity following this tour until sometime in 2016.

Keith should do a show at the newly-refurbished Kings Theater in Brooklyn. If he likes the Beacon, he'll enjoy playing the Kings.
