I was talking about when they were just starting and still in school. I'm sure over the years they became better at playing their instruments and pull that one off.
And there is no comma in Paint It Black.
There is a comma (not intentional, though) and GS is named Gimmie Shelter.
For the conservators...
Uhhhhh. No.

It's stupid. The only reason there is any comparison is because they both tend to tour about the same time.
It's as stupid as any comparison. U2 makes a lot of money touring. So do the Stones. U2 is still younger in their career and making new LPs, the Stones are older and not making new LPs.
WOO HOO.
WHATEVER.
OF course they are going to be compared. Are you kidding me? They are about the same size and constantly tour at about the same time. How could they not be compared.
I will never understand those people who think nothing should be compared. Let me guess apples and oranges.

u2 made some great songs in the early days, as did the stones, when you compare them the stones are the best overall, but both had eras where they could easily beat each other for a while.
u2,s pre 1984 days were awesome and they were probably the best band on the planet at that time.
boy
october
war
were great albums.
they were great live too.
sad that today when u2 get mentioned the subject of bono being a prat overshadows the music.
