Interviewees were indeed awarded a ticket w/ +1. Good luck tonight, everyone.

Has anyone else received a response and/or interview invite?

Yes

Swell answer...starting to realize that my great story I emailed her would never matter unless I'm one of the "elite" IORR royalty...oh well...

I'm sure that's not the reason. There is no such thing as IORR royalty, and if there was, roller99 with 72 posts wouldn't be in there. Sorry that it didn't work out for you.

I think what they meant was that roller99 is an insider

I take the word "insider" with a big grain of salt these days. There are clearly people who try to appear close to the organization, but based on what they post it seems more about getting attention.

I think (and roller99 can correct me if I'm wrong) that he works in the industry, as (probably) do a lot of fans living around the LA area. But obviously he entered the contest like everyone else, so good luck to him and everyone else that is able to go! (Hope i'm right in calling roller99 a 'he')

yes... putting on a tour like this requires subcontracting with dozens of different firms ... caterers, transportation, sound, film, security, wardrobe, extras, etc.... there might be many "insiders" whose inside angle is not via a direct relationship with the stones.

Yeah he indeed did. I imagine after tonight that will change though. winking smiley He deserves to get in since he was the one who tipped us to the location first. Hopefully he will be one of the ones giving us a good report afterward.

peace

Congratulations for making it to the gig...

Did the production people tell anything about a possible release of the show/interviews?

This was the way in. I was told it was for a DVD. Lots of folks here seem to be vilifying those who were able to attend, but many of the people I talked to at the show had been interviewed and did indeed have great, heartfelt stories to share from their personal lives. Writing from the heart and a willingness to go on-camera as a Stones champion were the surest ways to get in as a fan. We all knew it would be stuffed with VIPS and "extras," and this was partially true, but there was *some* way of getting in for passionate hardcore fans, and they were totally there, cheering through all the "deep cuts." Mega thanks to IORR for helping make this possible!

Yes, to be fair, about 200 people were able to buy tickets, and a few real hardcore fans were in that bunch, and some casual fans who just got dumb-lucky online. 90% of the crowd was the friends, family, industry insiders and celebrities with models in tow. It's a Hollywood production after all!

I guess they were contacted by hundreds. There are tens of thousands visiting the IORR news pages every day. They could not interview everyone, may be just a hnadful. Also, see my post here about who to blame when things go wrong:

Things don't go wrong, they just sometimes don't work the way we want. I got chosen and I'll never know why. They said they liked my story. I gave my cell #. I don't know why. They told me that they were disappointed that more didn't respond. Maybe their email crashed? Who knows? It was very last minute. If I had never got in, I would have just wished I had, nothing more.

I am not royalty but I have been a huge fan for 35 years. I saw the Fonda show and left a review (see Reports). Here is how it happened.

I saw BVs post at 2:00 am Wednesday and sent in my story. I got the call from Sarah at 7:30 while in a meeting at work. She invited me and my daughter down to the Fonda for an interview at 4:00. We waited about an hour out on the patio where they were setting up for the after show party. Mick came out onto the patio while we were waiting, though didn't talk to us. The band began soundcheck around that time and we heard All Down the Line and Moonlight Mile and more. After our interview we were given our tickets and yellow wristbands. We were escorted out of the building to wait in line. As we walked through the hallway, the our escort allowed us to step out onto the balcony as the Stones were rehearsing Start Me Up. A security guy chased us out and gave a death stare to our escort. I am hoping the interviews will be shown at the preshows during the zipcode tour. In additon we were interviewed by the press while waiting in line. My daugter and I are at 0:10 in the video on this page: [www.latimes.com]

I am really lucky 'cause I also got into the tongue pit on a pair of $85 mystery seat tickets for the first Staples show in 2013. My daughter and I were front row center. It turned around our relationship. This was part of my story which got us the interview on Wed.

I have also had my heartbreaks. In 2013 I spent hours at Centerstaging on the street listening to them rehearse. I got a tip from an IORR active member who had figured out where the 2013 secret show would be. I arrived at the Echoplex at 8 am that morning, scrambled to the El Rey when word came out that the tix would be distributed there, got in line at 10 am (instead of 12:30 pm) and was denied tix. Then, even though my friend wanted to stay to see if they would hand out additional tix (they did), I left feeling dejected. No Echoplex and I felt like a loser. But my luck turned around with those mystery tickets and I have had two experiences which I will always cherish as probably the greatest days of my life.

Wow, that's even better than my experience, I was there at noon, so no band, no MJ. I remember seeing you there in the lineup though. Way to go!
