As far as Marley / Wailers, the best Island albums imo are "Catch a Fire," (now a 2 cd set w/ original 'Jamaican' mix), "Burnin" & "Natty Dread", also the live radio broadcast from '73 "Talkin' Blues" (Island) issued in the 90s is way better than the other live albums. Anything on Blood & Fire label is superb. The Lee Perry 3 cd box "Arkology" is excellent (Island), as is anything by LP on Pressure Sounds, avoid the late period LPerry stuff. A superb comp on B & F "Darker Than Blue" has reggae versions of US soul material, mostly magnificent. And Roir has a few terrific reggae (dub, usually) titles including Glen Brown classic "The Way to Mt. Zion" and Ras Michael "Rastafari Dub" (w/ Tosh, Tommy McCook, etc). A nice intro box covering roughly 30 years on 4 cds is 'Tougher Than Tough," w/ a marvelous & informative booklet.
