no- i'm talking about Kevin M.
Son of Bob (as in Buddy & Bob "Heartbeat" etc, etc)
underrated singer-songwriter, with cult UK following who tours with The Roadtrippers. ('supergroup' that includes members of The Mavericks and the great Al Perkins on steel)

He is awesome, a great songwriter and guitar player. He is amazing on guitar and can sing very soulful.

Some of the songs on her self-titled red disc are gems...The Night's Too Long, Abandoned, Big Red Sun, Like A Rose, Crescent City...

I've been listening a lot to World Without Tears recently. It's a frigging awesome album, no bad numbers.

Call me crazy...but when I first heard Mick and Keith were writing ABB by themselves and alone I expected the record would sorta sound like this one........

my quick two cents:
i adore lucinda's work...she has something really original and majestic and so gritty goin' for her...
she's one of the very few i just automatically get any release from.
it aches ya sometimes to hear some of it...but i do love her.
brilliant songwriter...and a tough visionary in a man's game...
she's been thru hell, been dissed by the best for being a 'bitch'
if she was a guy, they'd say 'a brave visionary who always stuck to his guns
and protected the vison'
i admire her hugely...she is an important artist.

I saw Lucinda last August in a medium-size club, arriving early to get right up front. I'm a big fan and have seen her 4 or 5 times. It was hugely disappointing. First of all, long wait for her to come on. Then, she talked between songs for long periods of time. This was nice at first, displaying a lot of her personality, but soon became tiresome. Lastly, she sang most of her songs from a lyric book perched in front of her. This was bad enough, but she further delayed the show by having some roadie come out every time and find the song in the book for her. The show really dragged.

Maybe just a bad night.

For those of you who like Lucinda, may I suggest Neko Case? Shehas a new disc out, the name escapes me, but what I heard sounds great.
