Any seating charts? AXS doesn't have a chart nor does ticketmaster
Haven't seen one anywhere other than the generic stadium one on olympiaentertainment.com, nor the prices anywhere else other than an article in the Freep. Was hoping cheapest would be a little lower than that and I'd be able to afford the second price tier. Oh well.Quote

Two questions if anyone knows:
1. Do we purchase tickets at the Tigers website or at Tickets.com
2. That new Tigers pages states "Tigers Registered Users and Season Ticketholders will receive an email with information on how to participate in the presale. The email will be sent to the email address associated with your Insider or plan holder account. " How does one become a Tigers registered user?

There is no public transportation in Detroit. Just something called a "people mover" which is an elevated train that goes around in a circle. It's basically just a glorified amusement park ride.
The good news is that Comerica Park is right in the heart of Downtown. Lots to do and it's generally pretty safe. If you like gambling casinos, we've got three of 'em.
I would recommend a visit to Hitsville USA, the Motown Records Museum.

Also, if you're a baseball fan, the playing field of the old Tiger Stadium (1912 - 1999) still exists, even though the stadium itself is gone. Bring a ball and your gloves and you can actually walk out onto the field and have a game of catch where Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth played.

i, too, am confused about where to buy these tickets. they mention either the box office (not good if you're not in detroit!) or tickets.com. but tickets.com seems to be a reseller - not good!
