I'd certainly prefer Sweet Virginia as I haven't seen that live, love it, and wife and daughters are from VA (I'm a South Carolina dude but lived in VA for well over half my life).

I was listening to "Exile.." and thought the same thing. "Sweet Virginia" would RULE.

O.K. Raleigh Stones Freaks, now I have a couple questions.

As I said before, a buddy and I are comeing from "sweet virginia" and have a room set up downtown. would it be wise to still drive to the stadium in order to take advantage of the tailgating opertunities a vehicle can provide, and, if I pay $20 to park, does that give me the latitude to leave said vehicle in the parking lot overnight, if I should say, get a little "juiced up and sloppy" and we cab it back to the hotel, only to retrieve the vehicle the next day?

I feel like if we just take some hotel shuttle to the venue, we'll be standing around in a park lot, conspicuously consuming and the like.

was there a question there? I don't know.....
but any thoughts would be welcome.

I can't imagine it would be a problem to leave a car overnight, nor that y'all would be the only ones doing that. I checked the event page on "gopack.com" and I didn't say anything about prohibiting overnight parking.

i had a similar plan. leave the car overnight in the stadium parking and after the show, walk down hillsobough until i am clear of the traffic and get a cab home.. i actually called the people that handle the parking... they said you can leave the car overnight but you need to pick it up by 10am the next day... not sure if they would tow it or what if u get there later than 10. the company is mclaurin parking

I am just a fan. I will vote for the Raleigh song vote on RS.com. I listen to the winner while I am siting in the parking lot of the venue during sound check. Just like everybody else.

I will be getting to Carter Finley around 4 o'clock (when parking gates allegedly open), and I will have a tailgate set up with about 20 or so friends to eat, drink and be merry. We should have a tent with BBQ, beer, and sides. Would love to meet everyone, especially BV, b/c you've done a lot for me and everyone with the site. There's a plate for you and some beer with your name on it. More details to follow...

Bags larger than 14" x 14" and all backpacks are prohibited at Carter-Finley Stadium. Diaper bags are permitted only if accompanied by an infant. Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs.

All bags are subject to search. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized bags to their vehicles. NC State University cannot safeguard bags not permitted into the stadium.

You are easy to please. Pretty much guaranteed the second half will be exactly like you want, although I doubt they will play Sway and Dead Flowers and Wild Horses. More likely Sway and Bitch and whatever wins the song vote. It would be nice if Sway won the vote and they could also play Moonlight Mile!

I have been waiting for this show. I am going to drive to this show. This area is where I went to college (Elon University). The memories of college... Oh come on baby pleaaaseee. My fraternity is there. I hope they are as wild as we were. True fun. My fraternity got thrown off of campus for a series of shananigans and we lost our official fraternity house. We threw one hell of a Gimme Shelter party. We had T-shirts and all. Played GS about 200 times that night.

I have to tell a secret. I don't want anyone on this site to think any less of me.

When I went to Elon, my and my roommate ONLY listened to LED ZEP for about a year and a half.
