Mick wore a false beard for about 4 months in 1979-80, even going as far as to do so on a TV interview....of course no one knows why he did it, but why should we doubt your logical and well-reasoned argument

naturally, theres no way the same guy could conceivably grow two differently groomed beards as little as 12 years apart...

Funny, John Lennon wasn't hairy yet he had a long beard. Was his fake too?

why would it be fake, why is it even an issue

its an issue because people are dumbasses and wont accept any "new" information. its real. the coverage is very similar in both pictures, just not the same length. i love this stuff.

The beard is real. Mick is a fake.

And to think, all I asked for was a pic of him with the beard from the early 80's.

If someone comes up with the photo of his gashed wrist, I suppose someone will say that's fake too. He did have a nasty gash that took about 12 stitches to close up.

My two cents to this topic of first rate importance:

I remember reading that Mick had that beard 79-80 for hiding Bianca's lawyers. (And by the way, there exist a photo where Mick with heavy beard is discussing with Marianne Fathfull, and Jerry Hall looks a bit annoyed behind them - I suppose it's from that same period.)

What the hell is that? Mick slit his wrists? A fake? Or did Mick do it for fun, a tattoo? Anyway there are picturs of Mick attending court sessions during his divorce from Bianca. With beard.

Yup, that's the gashed wrist. He got it at Gurney's Inn on Montauk, Long Island. He leaned against a glass window which caused the gash.
