That's my favourite bit!! I like how he played pretty much the quintessential Bobby Keys solo. There's bits of everything on it. I'm pretty sure this was the last recording he did. What an honour.
He has credits for 2014 recordings with Buzz Carson and Heavy Jelly. I wouldn't necessarily assume Oct 2013 was his last recording, he was in fairly high demand and worked up until he was hospitalized. But congrats for getting him to play on your record. I imagine he was double scale. peace

Can anyone confirm why Ms Rose was "sacked".
Was it:
1. Personality clashes
2. Perceived inefficiency
3. Redundant, ie no work for her to do.
4. None of the above.

Actually I seem to remember someone speculating that jane rose sometimes posted on iorr under an assumed name - it's such a nice idea but sadly I fear just another fantasy .....
