Cover for new tour

Today I listened a lot to CCR stuff and I remembered that the Stones once also did a cover version of Screaming Jay Hawkins' "Suzie Q".
This one and "I Put A Spell On You" would be great bluesy tunes in the theatre and b-stage-setlists.
Imagine how perferct Mick would sound on them, especially "Suzie Q".

"I Put A Spell On You" The best CCR track but I'll doubt if it will work for the Stones. Who's gonna play the long blistering solo??!

The should try Dead Shrimp Blues from Robert Johnson, great track, great title!!

The Rolling Stones version of Suzie Q is not a Screaming Jay Hawkins song but actually a cover of Dale Hawkins hit from 1957 which also featured a young James Burton on Guitar.

As for Screaming Jay Hawkins, Keith plays guitar on the 1979 remakes of two of his songs, I Put A Spell On You and Armpit.

These can be found on:

If they should do a CCR cove, which they won't, they should do CCR's best song: Fortunate Son.

Good question - not sure of the O'Jay's ages - that's a possibility.

Otis didnt write That´s How Strong... or Pain in my... But recorded them in 1964 & 65; respectively, and it sure is Otis´ versions they cover.
He was born in 9 Sep, 1941. Bill was born in 1936, Stu in 38 & Charlie a couple of months earlier than Otis.
Maybe a boring answer, but nevertheless true, right?
