www.rockpassion.com download section is now unaccessable without a password. Anyone know how to create or obtain one?

You'll have to ask "stonefan" the next time he logs in. He was recently involved in a bit of a fight here in th forum. I'm hoping it didn't leave a bad taste in his mouth because he has an awesome website with a lot to offer.

Stonesfan?? I do not want to bring out any bad blood or rehash anything that is none of my business. Your site is great. Any chance in handing out some special invitations to frequent your offerings?

tried again I did. Work perfect. Thanks for the direction KeithRichards.
Drake there is no mention of Taylor vs. Wood in this thread so all is good. What are you doing with a battle ax anyway??

Hi
To answer to Local 27, indeed because of the attitude of some people on this board, I have decided to protect my site..
Lots of people will have access to it, some others won't !
Please, email me at stonefan@neuf.fr and I will give you a personal username and password.
thanks

Stonefan has done alot for Stones fans by making live bootlegs available on his site. It has certainly helped me. Before Stonefan's site, I was put off bootlegs because you can often end up paying a fortune for the sound of someone talking with a vague sound of the stones far off in the distance (I maybe exagerate the sound of poor audience recordings). However, I have since been re-invigorated by Stonefan's work and have got back into the game.

Thanks Stonefan and don't be disheartened by the negative comments of some.

I don't understand--what's the beef with Stonesfan's site? Are greedy sellers bitching because he is taking money out of their pockets? These recordings SHOULD be free & shared across the board. Screw the sellers--this is about loving the band, NOT about someone making a profit without paying royalties.

What did I miss? When did all this nonsense come about?

Read what I said, man. Stonesfan gives away stuff that others are selling--are the sellers the ones who are complaining? WTF are the complainers about? You give 'em enough rope, and they'll hang themselves.

I LOVE what Stonesfan is doing, so it's difficult to understand how anyone could complain without having a nefarious motive.

TeleK, if English is not your first language, then I apologize if you misunderstood me.

No problem, TeleK. I've been helped my many people from across the seas, and made some great friends here.

Here's a toast to you and the rest of my international friends.

Salute!

Over the years this has always been one of the best sites for stones info and to keep up with the good info that everyone posts. In the USA the only way to get the shows that rockpassion posted are from ebay that are overpriced or local record stores. The people that give stones fan a hard time are the ones that make money selling this stuff and are mad that he posts this for free. Thanks for the time and effort that you have put into this site.

I have never used stonefan's site for what it is chieflt designed. But that is only becasue for my own personal silly reasons I prefer to find actual boots with artwork etc. Makes me feel like I got an actual new album. Downloaded files seem so anonym mous. But in principle I think what stonesfan does is totally cool! He is the king. This shit should be free. Like bassplayer says it is about the band not about someone making a profit.
Damn there are already enough people around the Stones, and IN the Stones making a killing of us..

Ever heard of BitTorrent and/or CDR trading groups? There, you can get your live recordings not only for free but also in the best possible (i.e. LOSSLESS) quality:

[zombtracker.the-zomb.com]
[bootcity.org]
[bt.etree.org]

[launch.groups.yahoo.com]

and of course the ROCKS OFF tracker: [rocksoff.kicks-ass.org]

not being an audiophile, and having better things to do than learn the ins and outs of torrenting, I've found the MP3 downloads on stonefan's site to be delightful.

He's really doing a great service for stones fans all over.

What problem could anyone have with that?

I feel I must also personally thank stonesfan for what he did.
Yesterday I burned the "Stripped Companion". It's awesome.
The mp3s are indeed very very good. It's generally become
better since he first started. Now they're just perfect.
And the companion is also a fantastic CD. Especially "Honest I Do".
