As mentioned earlier the Whiskey 1977 box set is amazing. Really happy to have it. Now if only they would come over to Europe for a few concerts. Would love to see them again.

Congratulations!

Is my 40-odd years’ question about Live At Budokan, track-by-track recording data, i.e. the date and the venue for each track, which I mentioned upthread, investigated or revealed in your book?

Wish they'd come to Europe. I miss them, they put on a great concert. So anyone that hasn't seen them I highly recommend it.

Wow, Hollywood Fla is where I grew up. Today it's a long way from Portugal. First time I saw CT was at the Miami Jai-Alai 1979 if anyone knows it. Was very exciting to find guitar picks underneath the chairs before the concert. Was an amazing gig Rick was playing some great solos. Well the whole band was basically on fire too.

Is Ric currently touring with the band?

I believe he is though I’m not keeping up with the latest news. There was a point where he wasn’t touring because of health issues. I hope he’s past all that.

Lesson, don't blame the great grandma, it was the monkey who stole it.

Just checked up on the latest and saw CT performed on 14 November. Rick was there. Plus he's been doing a solo band too. He looks safe and healthy I'm happy to say.

My book has the closest track by track of the album. Only Bun knows it and he said his records are buried. All 3 shows were used equally he said. I have an Audience of the 30th. That was what I was after when I started. If you want a half price copy, I can sign and send. Worth your time IMHO

The long told story among the fandom and insiders is most if not all of the ten tracks selected for the original At Budokan album are from Osaka although Jack Douglas’ comment that it is from Osaka not the Budokan is a stretch.

Thank you for the answer anyway. Hope the mystery will be fully uncovered someday.

About 10 years ago or so, Robin toured in California and played a club near me. I went and after the show I spoke to him. Because he played "It's All Over Now" I asked him if the Stones were an influence, he said he played it like The Faces played it, not the Stones version.
He was pleasant and warm the entire time.

I think CT are really nice to fans. I've had a few great experiences myself. Part of their appeal is this connection. Never heard a bad story about them and they always put on a great performance.

You can get my book with Mike McCready's Foreword on CT with the code RLFANDF30 and they can get it at 30 percent off. Or they can order through me and get it at half off

Lots good stories in there

Only Bun knows, but I will soon have the audience for the first night in Budo and have the second. He told me that the original album is roughly split between those two shows and Osaka

Cheap Trick's Christmas album is one of the best if you're looking for a Holiday collection that you can rock out to.

Great show tonight in Macon. They always give it their all be it 500 or 50,000. Guessing a couple of thousand tonight and the band did not disappoint.

Ric looks healthy and played great. Ditto Dax. Robin's son sang "Downed" and sounds so similar to his Dad. Tom Peterson - indeed this whole band - is so unique and talented. And Robin's voice is a wonder to behold.

Highlights - "Downed", Robin hitting the high note on "The Flame", the best "I Want You To Want Me" I've seen (loud and kicking ass - yes, I have heard this song until I could scream, but tonight was special), "Dream Police" and, as always, "Surrender".

I've been seeing this band live since 1980 and enjoyed tonight's show as much as any of them.

That's a damn good price for 12 slices of gum, onion-flavour notwithstanding.

That's great to hear Elmo Lewis. They've been killing it for years, always happy to know it's as exciting as when I first saw them back in the day.
