Wow! My final show.
The best I have ever seen.
Plus Ronnies pick landed at my feet.
Thank you
Wow indeed! What a way to end - I am really happy for you. Just feel ever so slightly nervous that evidently problems with Mick's voice aren't entirely resolved and either it'll get stronger or - I won't say it! Am leaving the UK on Friday for Brisbane - invested everything in one show. Stupid? Maybe but I had neither the time nor money for anything more. Well whatever happens you won't hear me complaining but wish me luck!

Mick:
Sydney’s been very welcoming to us all, it feels amazing. I had 103 of my Sydney rellies for tea the other day, and they’re all here tonight and very welcome.
Here we go…

A funny little curiosity: the newest song in the set is 33 years old newbie called "Start Me Up". Is this a kind of record since 1981/82 tour?

Wow. That is a telling observation. Imagine Mick's response if you would have told him in the early 70's that he would be performing ONLY his songs over 33 years old someday. I'm sure he would have said "Naw, I'd rather make films or be an accountant". It's rather sad and they seem to be just the sort of nostalgia act Mick has dreaded the Stones would become.
Not sure what this says about our culture and society but it's strange. Maybe the mass marketing done by radio and TV and record companies effected us more than we know and we are all products of the limited stuff (by today's standards) which was crammed down our collective throats when we were young and impressionable. I don't think any infatuation of this magnitude has happened before and it may not ever happen again.
But its good to see the excitement that this Sydney show has caused in the Rolling Stones community! peace
