What happened to the Robbie Shakespeare and Sly Dunbar mythic rhythmic section?

Those two made a fortune - at least I hope for them - playing the most seeked-after reggae wall of sound in the late seventies.

They were making gold not only because they were good, but for they acted as a single brand "Robbie Shakespeare and Sly Dunbar". Something like Bourbon Four Roses. or Keith and Mick. Where are they now?

Hm, dunno what they are up to right now - but I bought a cd in Barcelona last year from a Spanish reggae group called "Canaman" and they are at a song there and I think they also produced (not sure about the producing).

Here we get to know the Riddem Twins have produced over 200 000 songs; may give a part of the answer what they have been up to...
...BTW Record level here as well as above is Palm Pictures.

******* The Official Tour Page [www.slyandrobbietour.com] reveals a tour in late fall 2004 mainly in California & Midwest, US. "25th Anniversary Tour".

******* Reggae dance Hall & Taxi Fare albums (listening samples) [www.mp3.com]
E.g.: Groove On Love (Dub Mix)

Note: Album "Version Born" (2004) is mentioned as latest release, but is n o t supplied with samples.
But: Dub Revolutionaries: "Sly and Robbie Meet the Mad Professor"

******* The discography section at [slyrob.3va.net] is interesting (just click on Discography at start page). Didnt know they backed up Serge Gainsbourg? Jagger´s & Stones role in the reggae history is not either too small...
(it goes thru Peter Tosh for those who didnt know)
