I'd like to go, but concerts are getting out of my price range. It's $120 for the cheap seats at the Pantages in Hollywood. It's only $44 to see Steve Martin and Martin Short at the Hollywood Bowl.

I was a little disappointed in the Dylan show I saw (+ I think that show is when I caught COVID, just getting back on my feet now). It was ok. I'd say it was a middling show. Bob seemed tired & old. & you're right, it was very pricey.

On the "strength" of Dime torrents only Bob seemed to be in better form last Fall.

For the Record: Could the New Bob Dylan Recording Sell for More Than $1 Million?

T Bone Burnett produced a version of "Blowin' in the Wind" that will be auctioned off this week. Can his new company make the music biz more like the art world?

The curtain is closing fast on the old timers. Their voices can't escape the ravages of time. Even Mick's.

Anyone notice the poster says tour 2021-2024? Ambitious. I saw him last month & he seemed to have gotten really old during the COVID years. It looked like he was having some trouble getting around. The show itself was pretty good. I'd say middling Bob. I've seen play better & I've seen him play worse. The band is first rate.

He definitely had some trouble getting around in Nashville, but no more than Elton John in Knoxville, from my vantage point. Both got up and waved/bowed every 3-4 songs or so. Seemingly so they wouldn’t get stiff sitting on the piano bench. Can’t stand too long. Can’t sit too long. What a drag it is getting old.

Dylan’s Ryman show must’ve been somewhat of an outlier. My friend and I loved it immensely. Same friend who felt the show he saw in Kentucky was just good. Band was elite and Bob was down in the groove in Nashville. I should probably let that be my last Dylan show.

Why do you think Mick runs, waves his arms, points and gesticulates?

A method to his madness.

Found this a couple weeks ago, Bob changed his approach in the way he delivers the song and turned it into something even more soulful and heartfelt, it's the best i've heard him sing since the 70s. He still has it, still delivering creativity at 80 plus years old, just lovely.

Not a nostalgia act. He's still creating very good albums. The best songwriter in rock history. What a gem.

Haha! Yeah, ok. What a disgrace! Please!

Would you rather see page 540 of the new Stones album that has no end in sight?

And, by commenting, you put it back at the top. tongue sticking out smiley

Good for him! What a sick accusation from a crazy person. I doubt he will collect but it sends a message to any other grifters out there looking for an ill-gotten payout.

What you're on about mate? Bob's great! Listen to 2012's Tempest and see what you think. He has released 4 great records since then, all ten outta ten.

Now, if nick cave or radiohead were on top of the IORR page I'd be deeply traumatized. Those cats ain't Rock N Roll.

Please don't take it too personal. I know he was a great song writer/ poet but he should have left the performance to others imo. And no, he's no Rock&Roll to me apart from his stint with MickTaylor and band in Wembley 1984 etc. I would have preferred Jagger and Richards on vocals and guitar there though. Click on the link below and you can read the Master himself talking about the subject.

I'd go see Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds over just about anybody these days. It's rock & roll church similar to Springsteen in the glory days (1975 or 78 to 1981, maybe 1984). Nick's 1 of the most electrifying performers I've ever seen out of literally 100s of shows overall. I've seen him a lot & he has never disappointed live. Studio stuff is a bit different but amazing nonetheless.
