Gazza - with Moncton selling a lot of $99.00 Canadian (about $78.00 US) and wanting to sell more tickets than the 75,000 already sold, the average price per ticket for the whole tour goes down, down, down. I still haven't found anyone on any of the different fan site boards or met anyone who has a $60.00 areana ticket.

@Erik
Yes, see you at Walter's. No doubt about that.

Floor 7. Now try to figure out where B stage will be. Is seat 1 on the outside of the section, or by the stage or runway?

the lights on but nobody's home

I've been in MSG, Bjornulf (I met you after the 2002 show). I know its a good arena to watch a show (well, as far as 20,000 seater arenas go, that is). I had a side view pretty close to the stage and on the lower tier and it was very good.

But regardless of what row it is, this is still a $450 ticket for a seat with an obstructed view! Hardly therefore the best seat in the house.

thats one show out of forty. Hardly makes a big difference, really.

He said the average cost of the non-golden circle tickets were the prices you quoted.

From the seating plans I've seen and the stories of people paying $300 and $450 plus for very mediocre seats to the side in the stands (tickets that on the two previous tours would have cost about $90 or $125),theres no way that anywhere near 95% of these tickets are averaging around those prices that Cohl has claimed. I'd love to see the official breakdown of percentages in each price range per show but of course they wont publish them.

If people want to pay $450, thats their business of course, but I have serious doubts about the way they're releasing blocks of tickets at a time so as to entice people into panic buying $450 tickets which arent really that great. Something smells very fishy about the whole way these tickets are being distributed.

When I heard Cohl's quote about the high percentage of ticket prices averaging around $100, I thought it sounded pretty reasonable. Going by the horror stories I've been reading, I guess it sounded too good to be true.

With all due respect, instead of paying $900 for two seats in the second level of MSG, aren't we better off buying two $160 tickets somewhere like Denver or Phoenix or Salt Lake City, and then flying to the damn show?

Larry birthday boy! Sept 13th is definitely your day. Meet me at Mustang Harry's, I'll sell you a ticket and buy you a birthday beer. (Face value + tax . Hope that's ok by you.) By the way, rumour has it the Stones will play the Garden again on my birthday... January 20th 2006. I'll invite them all to the party afterwards! Haven't booked the place yet, but I'll definitely post it here in IORR. Siw

I'm waiting for the Fan Asylum package for 20 Jan 06. Even at $2000, it's better than a $478 partially obstructed view! For my $2000, I'll get two nights in the hotel, transport to the show and back, a seat in the first 5 rows (probably first 2), a reception the night before with free drinks, a VIP all-you-can drink reception for 2 hours before the show at the Gardens, and something else they always cook up like a draw with a chance to go to the Shibeen lounge and/or a backstage tour. Plus meet some really interesting diehard Stones lunatics. Dollar for dollar it's not hard to figure out which is the better deal to me.
