Tour Clusterf***!

Am I the only one, or does anyone else think this
tour/ticket thing is one big clusterf***?
In the old days, ALL the tickets went on sale
on a certain date, and if you got 'em, you got 'em.
If they added a second date in a certain city,
it was announced. Not LA this day, Fresno that day,
MSG 2 days later. add to this, adding an arena date,
a theater date, etc...
I don't think McCartney's tour is this confusing.

The way it's been handled is very confusing, which always makes me feel like somebody's trying to rip me off.

It´s about taking the most possible money. Sadly enough.

Sadly, this is the strangest ticket offering we have ever experienced. Even with the rs.com memberships it isn't helping like last time around. I don't know what the band is to gain from this process, except for alienating their fans. I really don't believe the tickets have all been offered yet, but by holding them off the market is creates the illusion that these shows are all fast sellouts. I don't buy this at all. It would appear that hard core fans are NOT getting seats despite jumping through the hoops that Cohl and the Stones have set up for us. Not a good scene here folks, but I will try in 20 minutes when the next pre-sale starts up for a few shows. We are sheep.

I remember with great nostalgia the days when you had to send off a cheque or postal order for tickets (Earls Court 1976) or queued up from the early hours at a local record outlet to get tix in person (Dylan 1978). Nowadays its bloody fan club ripoff membership, online purchasing, hanging on the phone for ages etc etc.

I agree wholeheartedly. The Stones have reached a new low in tour organization:

1.) You get little warning as to when tickets for your venue go on sale. (I had about 3 days warning)
2.) Figuring out the seating and pricing levels is next to impossible.
3.) To this day no one still knows what the "on stage" seating is, how much it costs or anything !?!?!
4.) Venues and show dates are dribbled out to the fans at their leisure.
5.) There was no announced official name for the tour. At this point I have to assume it is "On Stage". (How original and inspirational)
6.) Ticket prices are the highest in history.
7.) It has been estimated that up to 1/2 of offered tickets are scooped up by "re-sellers" who are asking unbelievable prices for them on-line. (They are using the Fan Club by the way)
8.) The Fan Club is .....well, you know what it is.
9.) It all reminds me of an old Sex Pistols movie called "The Great Rock n Roll Swindle"...........I learned my lesson a couple of tours ago.....and many will learn their lesson on this tour.

This chart for the Chicago arena show gives you an idea.

This could be called the "clip the sheep" tour.
