Stonefan,

some days ago I sent you an e-mail asking about the possibility of improving the sound quality of a live recording (audience recording).

As you seem to be quite an expert on audio solutions :-)

I Have an audience recording of the Coimbra 2003 show (amazing one I can tell) that I would like to improve, can you help me?

Thanks in advance!

I'm still wondering if some of the nearly completed tracks from the VL sessions might be revisited for the new album. I know that "Jump On Top of Me" was released as a CD single B-side, but "So Young" has such a lascivious sense of humor, I'd love to see this one on the new album.

??? So Young!!... but but So Young was originally cut back in 1978 and was issued as the B-side of the Love Is Strong & Out Of Tears CD singles in 1994.

Thanks, Terry--sometimes I need a little kick to keep me in line LOL.

Now, let me submit this thought--the addition of the tracks from this collection would have made a great album to document the 95 gigs, or alternatively, "Stripped" could easily have been a 2-CD set. One CD, studio, with the outstanding revisitations of the old catalog, and the second CD for a representative live performance of the club gigs.

Here's a notional setlist for the club gig CD, using the two sources ("Stripped" and "Stripped Companion"):

1. Street Fighting Man (starting w/acoustic guitars)
2. All Down The Line (switching into full electric glory)
3. Live With Me (Darryl's bass--woo!)
4. Black Limousine (not played since '82, one of my favorites)
5. Let It Bleed (back to the acoustic section)
6. Angie
7. Dead Flowers
8. Sweet Virginia
9. Shine A Light (surprise!)
10. Like A Rolling Stone (the "new" song heh heh)
11. Gimme Shelter (absolutely killer)
12. Rip This Joint (what a finish!)

This, IMHO, makes for a great latter-day live performance. Try this out in a WMP playlist, and let me know what you think.

The more I listen to this "live" version of Stripped (setlist above), the more I like it. Check it out, ladies & gents.

Hey dont forget as a bonus the Japanese pressing of Stripped carries a live version of Black Limousine from London July 19 1995. Also on Like A Rolling Stone CD single.

Ok, following my earlier thread about turning "Stripped" into a two-CD set (one live, one studio) here's a notional list for the studio CD (the Tokyo sessions):

1. Not Fade Away
2. Honest I Do
3. The Spider and the Fly
4. I'm Free
5. Let's Spend the Night Together
6. No Expectations
7. Let It Bleed
8. Love in Vain
9. Memory Motel
10. Beast of Burden
11. Slipping Away
12. Little Baby

I burnt it on the spot, and it fills its dspace in my collection - no doubt.

´avent seen it on the songlists (there exist some various kinds of them).
On the cover I printed a song "Together" is on as number 3; but no Goodbye Girl.

Anyone know how we get this one (GG)? And "Together"?

Goodbye Girl is a great Chuck Berry style R&B-rocker penned by Wyman and recorded by The Stones at Chess studio in 1964.
