God, all these years and I never realized that was what he said! I thought it was "All righty come on now." So, what does he say just before the harmonica solo?

Totally agree about the great solo, anyway.

"My turn!"

Holy crap. Just listened to the Brixton Black Limo and did they ever edit the hell out of that one - moving Ronnie's solo to the end, Keith's 'solo' that he played while Mick played harmonica to the front - not exactly live on record now is it.

Get the real Brixton LP-set.

Thank you! I've heard those old songs so many times that anything I didn't decipher at the time has just become a sort of random sound to me now--I forget that it does/did actually have a meaning. grinning smiley

For me the studio versio of Bitch is #1. No question. When it first came out I thought it was MT for a second. I read somewhere where Keith said he used to practice it every day. Its really very fluid at many points.

Live is Bye Bye Johnnie- many choices from 1972. He does Chuck Berry better than anyone.

don't give me that ole one two, one two three four

Sudio-wise, Hold On To Your Hat features a pretty crazy solo by Keith's standards. Very fast, and bordering on heavy metal. Abnormal for Keith, and very cool to see.

His solos during '89/'90 were among the best of his career,IMO. His playing seemed reinvigorated, most likely due to the fact that the Stones hadn't toured in 7 years. He was playing with an overall speed at which he had rarely shown in prior years, and really hasn't shown since (old age, arthritis, etc). As for a brief list:

--Sympathy for the Devil Tokyo 1990
--Satisfaction Tokyo 1990
--Let Me Go Leeds '82
--Hold On To Your Hat

Two very good choices. Yes, he did that better than anybody.
