Britney was hotter a few years ago than now. She looks like a weary window dress doll now. But we´re old farts both of us, my dear Gary, arent we? (with plenty of dynamite under the vest though... )
"Deep Purple"; Do you mean some of the more rececnt issues of "DP"... For me there is only Mark II & III circa 1969-1972 & 1973-75 respectively. There was a reunion in 1985-85 with Mark II which was more than OK. All else is rubbish.
Very good DVD in different ways / aspects.... lots of comments from Mark II minus RB
Shows a lot of good stuff - lots of good playing, excellent Lord on keyboards...
RB is acting stranger than ever, levaing stage when he is not playing, not participating in the final salute on stage, throwing water after the camera man and so on....

U2 pay tribute with lines from song sometimes, I've heard them slip in Riders On The Storm and Unchainerd Melody so bits of Sympathy etc is nothing unusual.
Purple use to do about 20 minutes of Paint It Black in the early Mk2 period.
The Sun has printed a 'leaked' line up and there are no Stones.
The Stones didn't play Live Aid and I don't think they played SARS Toronto for free, money changed hands.
Mick was alone and Keith and Ronnie where with Bob Dylan, so Stones where there somehow.... all of us probably know why they weren't there as a band.....
They also participated in this "New York" thing - Mick and Keith.....
Neither Bill or Charlie were at Live Aid so it doesn't count as Stones and the only time the three were on the stage was during We Are The World and you can't really hear them.
The New York 2001 show was just Mick and Keith so it's not Stones and they left after they finished so as not to do the finale.
Thank you country honk. Yeah, I gotta have that one. Soprry Stonmes, but I was a die-hard Purple fan since ´72. Yet today I rather would see the Stones a hundred times than DP just once.
...Did you read the Child In Time-book by/with Gillan?
