More Guitar Help Needed! Munich Hilton Take 1 From PP

Hello all,
Yup.........digging into the vaults on this one. I'm talking about the version from Place Pigalle "Munich Hilton Take 1" ..It's the instrumental version. Runs about 11:56

I'm trying both standard and open-G tunings:
The first 1-3 seconds of the riff is pretty basic. After that is where I get lost. It's when he slides up the frets and then to end the riff. The final 3-5 seconds is tough.

Around 5:50 into the song, he changes up the riff a bit as well.

For example, I tried playing it this way in standard tuning (I realize I may be in the wrong key):

A to D (pinky finger on/off b) then do the slide up to E and then back to A (I'm assuming that would be the chorus). For the 'verse'. D (pinky finger on/off b), slide up to E, back to A

Again, I realize the key may not be right but it's the riff in general I want (make sense?)

Any help is greatly appreciated....thanks!

Think he's just sliding the -sus voicing up a whole step. A pretty common move. You can hear Bruce doing it on the intro to "It's Hard to Be a Saint in the City," for example:

Thanks! My laptop won't allow me to view the image you posted (sorry)

I assume you are in open tuning?

Keith is in open-G, yes; but the lick works in standard, too.
