it blows.

So do tumbleweeds.

If you don't like a Scorpions song, then it's more appropriate to say "It bites", or something.

Terrible band. I find them embarrassing to listen to and to watch them.

Wind of Change is one of those songs that a lot of people enjoy listening when it plays on the radio, but are embarrassed to admit it.

There are a few groups/songs with a similar effect. You listen in private, you enjoy it, and you don't let any of your friends know about it, although they like it just as well. It's like masturbation.

To name a couple:

Nazareth - Love hurts
Modern Talking (any of the major hits, really)

You get the point.

Guilty Pleasures..... We all have songs that we love, but wont admit it, generally because they are considered to be crap by others.

I've got loads.....

Would probably make a great thread!

What a drag it is gettin' old

Modern Talking is crossing the line of guilty pleasures big time for me!

But you're right. There are lots of cheesy songs I enjoy. Won't tell you which ones, though smiling smiley

There`s almost something rude about some of your least favourite bands coming up with a hit like this. How come? I had never guessed it was by The Scorpions. The list could be continued. How about REO Speedwagon`s "Can`t Stop Lovin` You"?

Too bad they sucked even more the "hair metal" bands they dethroned.

Seriously Cobain with a guitar... eye rolling smiley Anyone in Seattle (waiters, junkies, homeless dudes) played better than him.

Even though I'm German, I never liked the Scorpions. They're much overrated and they particularly overrate themselves. View themselves as the greatest German Rockband which they aren't. They may have been hot in the Seventies and early Eighties but since then they nothing but embarassing

All good things come to those who wait, this thread was worth it only to end up with this video clip if nothing else. >grinning smiley<

Lot of time for the Scorps, but WoC was one of their dullest songs. Their albums In Trance and Taken By Force were infinitely superior to anything after Love at First Sting. Pissed they did not come to Blighty on their "farewell tour".

Cheers,
SonicD
