I think it is ironic that Mick just got done writing with Dave Stewart and his first song back has the same title as one of Dave's old songs. Any feedback here.

Don't Stop has the title of an old Fleetwood Mac song and he hasn't been working with Fleetwood Mac prior to Licks, or has he?

Now, this is interesting. I've been meaning to post regarding this for a while.

I have a friend who is a huge Fleetwood Mac fan. A while ago we were discussing their last album, Say You Will, released in 2002 or 2003, and the fact that it had started life as a Lindsey Buckingham solo album. Now, my mate told me that the reason it was never released as a solo album was that Buckingham had been doing some writing with Mick and/or Keith, and all the songs would have been credited to Buckingham/Jagger/Richards, and for some reason this could not happen, so Buckingham continued writing with Stevie Nicks and the project became a Mac album.

I find this hard to believe, and certainly hadn't heard anything of it, but my friend knows his stuff and says that he got it from a Fleetwood Mac message board.

Does anyone else know anything?

I don't believe a word of that story.

Keith only likes the Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green. It's imossible that he would work with someone like Buckingham.

I read something along those lines on FMac's official site (or else a fan site) too around the time Say you Will came out. It mentioned about some studio project that had Stones involvement. Heard no more about it since.

The last Fleetwood Mac cd was top...now if the Stones could produce the same caliber then maybe.....
