Surrey Rehearsals - mystery musician?

2 guitars, vocals, harmonica and drums... even piano in spots, but only Mick, Keith and Charlie were interviewed and noted as being present. Jimmy Miller was also there observing rehearsals and talks briefly during the interview.

Who is the mystery musician either playing guitar or harmonica? Perhaps the recordings span more than one day, hence the additional musician, Brian or bill or who ever.

Hmmm.

Jimmy Miller play harmonica?

Wasn't Brian in Paris around the time of this session celebrating his birthday? I think Bill was definitely there, I recall him making mention of this but can't remember where I read it.

They say he was in Paris the interview. No mention of Bill being there or any bass on the recordings.

We know Brian there in January though.

Jagger plays guitar throughout the recordings, but with two guitars and a harmonica on that song and even poano at times there has to be someone else playing one with them.

Seems the harmonica goes over his voice at times.

Do we know that the interview is from the actual recording session?
If it´s not, Brian could be (partly) there; could also be more than one session...

I don't think it is jagger playing the rythm guitar though, he wasn't that good of a player in 1968. And the harmonica IS Jagger's style. During the second part, when Keith plays slide, there's some double stop runs that are quite like what Brian used to play.

The harmonica plays over his vocal though.

That good? Hehe, we don't know how good he was, but also a lot of the playing is pretty terrible. They are just messing about though.

I listened through it now, and my bet would be on Brian playing the rhythm guitar, actually. There are a few things there that Mick would play even today - like the endings of the 12 bar rounds - stuff that Brian has played a lot (Confessing The Blues, for instance).
