I've got a full head of hair, but this is not what is being debated here, even if I was losing it, I would do the honrable thing and shave it off. What is in discussion is Keef's hair loss and tyhe lengths he goes to disguise it, plus the fact that despite his millions, he couldn't find a specialist who could successfully perform hair implants for him in the 90's. Why didn't he get advice from Bono about who to use for a positive result?

So what's the deal with all of the do-rag/bandanas that Keith wears? Are the do-rag/bandanas chemically treated to promote hair growth? Or are they an attempt to cover up the results of bad/failed hair transplants?

chemically- treated bandanas?!! next you're be claiming, they're battery-powered, or hooked up to the mains and an electric pulse, is sent through the bandana to stimulate hair growth.
jesus h. ....i've heard it all now!

What do you mean, Rogaine on the bandana? Propecia in his drinks? I think surgery is a better choice really. Could the moves he makes onstage be part of a secret plan to get the blood circultaing again? That could be a solution.

It's finally confirmed that both Keith and the Maverick are proud slapheads.

In the thread re Best Keith photo there is a shot of him from the latest tour. he is wearing the bandana of course but what is scary is that you can plainly see the paint, they have applied to his head. He must shower with terpentine afetrwards.

Why doesn't he just ask Mick or Bono who did there implants???

Re: Hair implants

Yeah I know, but that could be embarrising for him. Anyway, Bandana with Rogaine sounds OK.

Re: Hair implants

Maybe the hair loss will be so bad by the Euro leg of the tour that Keith will have to resort to a hat or wig to cover his baldness? All because he won't ask Bono or Mick who did their implant treatments.

Re: Hair implants
Posted by: Adrian-L ()

hat or wig?!!! he should stick to his current bandana/headband look.
It suits him.

Re: Hair implants

BUt does it really suit him? The bandana? He doesnt look comfartbale with it! And besdies weve all seen him without it!? He needed a plan Im telling ya. A day to day schedule for the bandana, hat and fishhooks. This just doesnt work.

Re: Hair implants

My guess is that the Bandana/do-rag contains some form of a poltus designed to encourage hair growth.

I don't buy in to the electronic stimulus thought for the simple reason of safety concerns during a concert. Also if the Bandana contained any electronics/batteries it could interfere with the signal between guitar/amp.

if keith had implants the person who did it should be locked up for life
worse job of all time

it´s so crasy that this topic attracts so much interrest. so finallly, i also have to give my comments.
keef hair implants-never ever! shure he had more volume in 1994.but this was because of a good curler!
ron, mick and charlie? can´t imagine!
most alcoholics living in the alleys of my hometown have full hair! really. must be because of the booze ;-)

Interesting theory.

Re: Hair implants

Keith DEFINATLY had implant treatment in the 90's, I do agree the specialist who did it should be locked up! Or is Keef's judgement on what expert or treatment to take imparred by years of substance abuse. Surely for all his money he could have had the best in the world, I mean Bono and Mick Jagger have had excellent results from their implant treatments.

Which songs for your funeral ?
Posted by: The Joker (IP Logged)
Date: October 10, 2001 23:48

I know this topic is not 100 % funny, but I find it hilarious a little bit. Which Stones would you like for you funerals - if any.

My preferences :

- Gimme Shelter, when the coffin enters in the place (church, temple, whatever..) because it this moment both the dead and the living need some place shelter and think over the vanity and fragileness of life

- You gotta move, when the coffin quits the place, because it's both sarcastic and Lord inspirated - its sounds also a little bit drunk, and the booze can be useful at this time

- If there is after a lunch, in a sunny garden, Dead Flowers with some roses

I told this to my lady one day I was a bit drunk - She said OK, I'll remember it, but I'm a litte afraid she'll be mistaken if she lives longer - Perhaps choosing instead Emotional Rescue...

I suggest that if this question gets many of your comments, we send the list to the Stones. So they can release a special black CD for ecumenic funerals.

This is an intereting poser - the options are plenty - I would say "Out pf Tears" would get em all going at the funeral.
In heaven I think "Get off my cloud" may be needed
In hell - "@#$%& blues"

Believe it or not:

I have prepared a home-made CDROM containing a live version of "Sympathy for the devil" to be played on that occasion. - My wife doesn't like the idea, but has promised to have it played.

Can't believe Keith's had surgery.
He's got plenty of hair- he looks cool in his bandana- there's no indication of impants/rugs from the photos , from the tour so far.
