I don't think Jagger has hair implants, because he's not careful/gentle with his locks. The recent Newsweek article was saying Mick was ruffling/tugging at his hair until it looked like a fright wig while he was talking about all the stresses of the touring business. Someone who's had very expensive hair restoration work would not be so careless with it!

Besides, if Jagger's beautiful hair is artificial or enhanced, don't you think Elton John or Sting would have the same treatment done? They both have more money than God! smiling smiley

Elton WAS bald 30 years ago. But I agree on MJ: Mick never came close. Keith's has been slowly drying out & thinning over the years, but he does look great onstage. Mostly I can't believe this is the most visited/active post in recent times, tho.

I think you can get to far bald to do anything about it, such as Elton. Sting is one of the people who actually look better with little hair (same as Sean Connery) Mick's weave looks ok, about the same standard as Bono's.

What kind of bollocks is this? smiling smiley

You have to be joking!! Everyone know's Bono's had a weave, Jaggers is not such common knowledge but is a weave never the less.

Other stars with "rumoured" hair assistance include

Ron Wood
Keith Richards (early to mid 90's)
Francis Rossi (failed)
Elton (failed)
John Mellencap
Little Richard
Cliff Richard

Maybe Sy Sperling from the Hair Club for Men and Dr. Bosley could join the Stones as back up singers !!!

This is my first night logged onto this board. I was reading some of this thread yesterday and I was laughing so hard it hurt. Sorry to keep it alive, but the responses have been terrific.

Spectors hair is a nest.
There is some serious party going on in there.

Instead of hiding his thinning locks, maybe Keith should go for the big hair obviously a wig look, such as the ones used by Phil Spectore, Little Richard and Alvin Stardust.

So the Stones have a weel off. I wonder if Keith will be considereing covering his bald head up completley for the rest of the tour?

Re: Hair implants

Keith should get a syrup of his cool 70's hair do, that would cover his bald head.

I must say though that his face lift has improved his craggy chicken neck apperance from the Licks tour.

Keith can just borrow one of Elton John's wigs and return it at the end of the tour... or better yet throw it to the fans everynite after the encore!

He would have to dip it in shoe polish to darken it up so it matches his natural color better.

Keith wouldn't have to darken Elton's wig, you do know he is totally grey don't youmoody smiley He just dyes the bit of hair he has left, actually if he didn't dye his remaining hair, the contrast between his bald spots and the dark hair wouldn't show so much.

Maybe Keith just go grey as well as bald? Any thoughts?

I thought Keith looked awesome with his gray hair on the B2B tour...his dye job now is way too obvious.

Maybe we should all try and contact him on his website I dunno. Or ask Mick to tell K. to cover the baldspots (they are not getting smaller).

I see this message keeps going off topic before returning to the burning issue, Keith's bald head.

Just to remind everyone, this was the origional message:-

I was at the PC yesterday, Awesome, but at the same time it got me curious as to how hair implants have been succseful on some people and not on others. As we all know Keith underwent a series of implants in the early to mid 90's, but they appear to have been totally unacceptable, similary Elton John tried every method to salvage his thinning bonce and in the end resorted to wigs. Yet Mick Jagger and Bono are two very famous stars who've had hair implants and they appear to be 100% accectable and a success. Does anyone know why? It can't be the cost or type of treatment as Mr Richards is not exactly short of a few bob, and Elton has spend a fortune over the years on his head.

By the way what happed to the craggy chicken like neck on Keef from the Licks tour, facelift?

Well it si an interesting question and I think Elton is wearing a piece, not plants. In order to keep the plants alive you hae to give up liquer and drugs for ahile and that may very well be the case here. I would hoiwever suggest a Trump on Keith. Combover from the neck to the front, attach the hair in the front and comb slick back. It could work.
