The talk of the same T.O.A.S.T concept as for the Licks tour being used got me thinking...

Before the Licks tour was anounced the Stones was rumoured to play Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg.

But with the T.O.A.S.T concept the bid went to Stockholm.

I think (and surely hope) that there is a possibility that this will happen again if the decide to use the T.O.A.S.T concept in Europe once again....


What do you swedes here think? =o)

Ullevi next summer, and The Nordic Stones Vikings will be the hosts of the party!

It would be so much sweeter with another Stockholm Triology so we normal swedes don'thave to travel to the inbred backside of Sweden...=oP

I love your city, but I have no trouble going twice the distance to see the Stones.

But on tv4 they speculated over a show in Stockholm.

Still, if there´s only one show in Sweden is gonna be in Sweden, no question.

I would be pleased if they made 2-3 gigs in our country and made it to Gatufesten in Sundsvall. Could make it a 70 000 - 80 000 people or even more at the fairly large square... Wonder if its gonna be in July... ?

Yeah Gatufesten would be AWESOME!

but 70-80,000?? No way man!There may have been 20,000 maybe when ZZ TOP was playing in 2003, no more

70,000? people would have to f*ckin' stand on top of eachother LOL!

However it would be an awesome gig as many people would be asleep in the beer tents...= more room for me..>=o)

But it ain't gonna happen....

It would be sweet though with a gig att Ullevi and one at Globen a couple of days later....


They just played the PC clip on TV4 again...I was on my bed half asleep but as soon as I heard the first chord on Start me up I was sitting straight and totally awake...=o)

They could switch the stage so that Vängåvan Park could be filled with audience. Thus you could crowd the centre with at least some 50 000 people. Entrance could be at lower Storgatan towards the harbour - brings in some 10 - 20 000 more along the streets of Storgatan and Kyrkogatan. Bringing the Stones would be worth some efforts... Dont let go of the idea... ! Even if my vision is not 100% realistic and the maximum audence would be some, say, 30 - 40 000 people it would be a smasher.

Anyway I´m going to Göteborg, and maybe to some other Northern gig.

If only one show in Sweden I would vote for Goteborg. The stadium is close to the city centre. And the whole city’s getting Stones-fever. It seems like there are Stones-fans everywhere.
In Stockholm you miss that kind of Stones-atmosphere.

Which part of town? I was born on Alnön Island & brought up in Granlo & Bergsåker.

You understood I was dreaming above here; but the mind blows you away after such experiences we´ve had the latest 27 hours .

So, why can't they do a gig at Skönsbergs Folkets hus...I've seen many great gigs there..hehe....Hey I can dream to can't I? =o)

No idea. But legendary Kebnekaise is reunited & will play Skulefestivalen on July 1. As well as Nationalteatern. With such mammooths we dont need foreign acts. Two days after Kenbekaise theres always Satbbath with Ozzy in out capital TJockhult.

Hehe, I learnt in school here in Göteborg that our capital prefers the name Fjollträsk or Smegmafors : )
