everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, but for me his voice was a thing of immense beauty. When I hear how wounded and vulnerable he sounded on A song for you, I still get the shivers. but he could tear it up with the best of them too. his solo albums are among the greatest music ever recorded in my opinion.

Most people never "got" Gram. Grievous Angel peaked at #195 on the Billboard chart. GP didn't chart at all.

Those two albums plus No Other by Gene Clark are the definitive Americana records for me. Time serves only to enhance them.
