new round of bootlegs - a petition?
Posted by: peoplewitheyes ()
Date: August 29, 2013 18:20

Can´t we start a petition, or perhaps better put, a request en masse here to plead with the Stones to start another round of ´official bootlegs´?

the costs to the band (and, amittedly the revenues) must surely be negligible and they really please the fans, and (in the case of Brussels) gained a degree of press exposure.

so, I´ll start..:

Please Rolling Stones, give us some more offial bootlegs to download, we love them and we love you! I live in Mexico and just can´t get to any of your shows at the moment, but love to have some live stuff from all eras pumping through my stereo!

If I go to Chicago can I vote more than once? Count me for as many votes as you like! I only wish I had I-Tunes so I could have gotten the Hyde Park download as that's actually the only one I don't have at this point. I'm willing to buy if they're willing to release!

Peace,
Mr DJA

The HP download is almost like a boot...

Do something like this, an online archive where people can buy/download any and all known recorded concerts from earliest to most recent.

In addition to what ever recordings the band has, have an open invitation to send in any recordings people might have, make all the bootlegs official, get shit out there and make money of them.

It could all be so simple and rewarding for them and us.

There is no good reason not to have iTunes in 2013. Or 2001 for that matter... It's free on any internet device. I happen to prefer vinyl but you gotta recognize the decade we live in too.

I have Google Play and Amazon Cloud Service and am fully aware of the decade & century we're living in. I prefer not to have Itunes for multiple good reasons. Because the HP download was only available in a platform I choose not to use, I missed out on it. I actually misspoke (mis-typed?) in my original post as I really don't wish I had I-tunes, I actually wish that the HP was released in a format I could take advantage of.

Peace,
Mr DJA

There IS a GOOD reason not to have iTunes in 2013. Or 2001 for that matter... It's called lossy music...
As soon as they move into the 21th century and offer HD files I'm in...

As long as they stick to the 90's with their mp3 crap they won't have my money.

I agree. You only have to prove to Stones people you listened to the previous ones heavily

The best of all possible worlds contains a monthly release of archive material + an ad hoc release of present and future concert recordings - and last but not least a new album ...

So, what products would you like to see from the Stone in the immediate future? For me I would like another series of bootlegs, a well thought out DVD/Blueray from the just finished tour,Hampton 1981 on DVD/Blueray.

Over to you.
