Re: the picture that Rockman & Deltics are discussing:

I'd be willing to bet money that it was George that took the picture. Reason: Notice the bottom left of the picture of Brian. The material on the arm in that picture matches the shirt that George is wearing in the second photo. Odds are George used both hands to steady the camera while taking the photo of Brian and, due to the "fish-eye" nature of the lens, got a bit of his own arm in the image. Not hard proof I know, but good enough for my purposes.

Peace,
Mr DJA

It's also bandaged on the Ed Sullivan show taped around the same time a the photo.

Which song was that? Is there a YouTube link ?

This would be their fourth appearance on the Ed Sullivan show on September 11, 1966, where you can clearly see Brian's bandaged left hand as he plays sitar on Paint It, Black. Also performed on the show were Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing In The Shadows? and Lady Jane.

There is now some very good soft which can remove the distorsion of the image.
(All not $$$ free), but it's cool to imagine how it would have looked if shot on a classic lens, here's some try.

It don't work on all fisheye shots though .

Yes. He hurt it hitting Anita (so the story goes).

Yes but that's just a story, we dont know it was bandaged. Could be just one of the many made up stories about the band.

Well, I thought he aimed for Anita, who was too quick for him. So hit a glass door. Hence the bandage.
Poor Brian, couldn't even get that right.
