Just saw this in Long Beach:[www.bigstarstory.com]

A GREAT film, on so many levels. A must for fans, and a revelation for those who have never heard of them.

Can't wait to see it, have the 2-lp soundtrack. Big Star sounds as fresh to me now as they did when I first heard 'em back in the mid-80's. Those records have aged very well.

Love this band. "September Gurls" is a top ten all-time for me. "13", of course, mentions "Paint It Black" - wonderful song about those early teen years. And if you've ever watched "That 70's Show" ......

I also love the Box Tops stuff - "The Letter", "Cry Like A Baby", and, especially, "Soul Deep".

The Replacements "Alex Chilton" is an also gotta-hear.

In response to one of the reviews, I still love the Raspberries and Dwight Twilly too. Long live Cheap Trick.

Power pop is great stuff.

I want to see this. Should be a cautionary tale about the music biz. At least the way it used to be.
