I´ve heard that the Stones wanted him as a piano player in the early 70´s. (In the time he was on -All things must pass-..) Because he plays a mix piano style between Hopkins, Preston & Stewart..
Do you know anything about that???

makes sense to me - that's why they brought chuckie in - he's a good player of many styles - some often refer to him as a Hopkins disciple.

..the Stones know him well..during 63 Gary was with the "Paramounts" and
they did some dates together....(see Bill's book..)

By the way Procol Harum is a very great Band.
Much more than Whiter shade of pale.
Listen to the Well´s on fire from 2003.
If the new Stones Album is as good as this one, it will be a great success!!!

No. I think he´s got no time for Bill.
Because Procol was on tour & in the studio the last two years.
During the "Bill Time" 1997-2001, there was nothing out of a couple of concerts with Procol!!
Mike Sanchez, his Replacement in the Rhythm Kings is an Elvis like clown.
Gary IS a voice and play a fantastic piano.
