I was actually thinking Mick sings this fine.

He's (mostly) stopped the nasal vocal nonsense and is trying to sing things with the same type vocal he recorded with.

I think it fits here perfectly.

But on the studio version, the lines end down, he tends to go up in tone, and it feels rushed, to me. I am just glad the music is really gelling. Yes I'm a knit picker....

Like he comes in late and finishes early......thoughts?

Man, my wife hates when (if.....) this happens.

Great version though. Hopefully it's on the list for next Saturday

That's why he always has a young girlfriend, and never dates them too long...

BBC knows how to record a rock band !
the three guitar work is very clear, much clearer than the previous youtube versions which were already great

It's a great version.

But Keith isn't really playing the classic riff is he? It's CYHMK-lite.

Not that it matters because what they are playing sounds great.

Fantastic.

No, I've given up on him nailing it, but he has got much better.

That was niicce . .

Now if Keith would do the intro right it would be heaven. There was a time when at least during the intros he was mixed way loud. Unfortunately better not these days.

They fudge it with a Charlie snare tap.

Still... it doesn't seem to matter.. the overall performance from everyone is brilliant.

Never understood why he such a clean sound for it, rather than something a bit crunchier. He's almost invisible here musically.

Great version otherwise and the crowd seemed well into it.

Where does this video come from? I thought the BBC did not broadcast songs except the ones from the second half of the concert?

It's a great version indeed svt, but the Glastonbury version has that unearthly untouchable magic in it that the studio version hasn't. I can dream the studio version, but the live versions 2013 surprise me everytime I listen to them. And I can listen to this particular Glastonbury version endlessly, over and over again, always hearing and seeing new things, always being surprised. The feel and emotion are palpable. Just wonderful.

Did they broadcast the whole show later after Glastonbury?

No. A satellite enthusiast intercepted the signal, therefore the full show is now easily found and downloadable if you like...

Thanks for the answer. Interesting, I didn't know, that this is even possible. There is a satellite signal, although it was not broadcasted? eye popping smiley I don't know about these things. But I suppose it is not legal??? I downloaded the songs from BBC Two Radio, that were broadcasted, since I could have recorded them when they were aired myself. But this seems like another matter, though very, very tempting...

Selling it would be illegal. Intercepting a data signal beamed through the air is not illegal. Amateur SAT and HAM operators do it all the time. BBC could easily encrypt it if they were concerned.
