No Emotional Rescue for european fans ?

I hope this song will be part of the 2nd Hyde Park show since it's been skipped from both others UK shows.

This so far last gig could be incredible with Emotional rescue + 2/3 songs with Mick Taylor.
I'd love Sway for instance + MR

As long as the curfew is 22.30 h we will get only big hits scale down to 19 songs. If the Stones will start earlier than last Saturday we might get a chance to have a longer show. However I doubt his as it will be very hot again.

It's a matter of songs chosen to be performed. ER isn't a long song, and they could drop Tumbling Dice (that would almost be a premiere) and IORR (wouldn't be the 1st show without IORR) to bring ER and Sway

This could be a great set IMHO

1. Start Me Up
2. Get Off Of My Cloud
3. All Down The Line
4. vote song (Rocks Off ?)
5. Emotional rescue
6. Doom And Gloom
7. guest slot
8. Paint It Black
9. Honky Tonk Women
10. (Keith)
11. (Keith)
12. Sway (with Mick Taylor)
13. Midnight Rambler (with Mick Taylor)
14. Gimme Shelter
15. Jumping Jack Flash
16. Sympathy For The Devil
17. Brown Sugar
18. You Can't Always Get What You Want
19. Satisfaction (with Mick Taylor)

The Emotional Rescue single hit #3 in the States and #9 in the UK.

(I saw them perform it in Anaheim. I was in heaven.)

Actually it was great getting "Tumbing Dice" in the third slot, it "refreshed" the song to my ears and everyone around me was surprised. I'm guessing that Mick (and Chuck) sensed that and the European tour in the fall will mix up songs a little better.

It kind of made sense for the 2012 shows to have something (vaguely) chronological and with the warhorse run in the end but it was a bad idea to keep it for the entire US run. Keeping them and mixing them up would have made everyone happy I think.

Anyway ER won't come back before the fall IMHO if only for the reasons mentioned by Grison (BTW, nice to meet you!).

It´s a shame and reminds me of Undercover and One Hit, i think Undercover got played in the one or two first show on Urban Jungle and thats it.

Undercover was not played on the urban jungle tour it was played on every show on the steel wheels tour and one hit was also played on the same tour about 21 times

Seems like you haven't been there. Tell me one singer who is able to perform at an Age cose to 70 in such high tune. It's much better than Fool to cry in 1976. Anyway such is one of those things we can argue over and over again.

But I agree I would also appreciate Can't you hear me knocking.

I can't think of many songs I'd like to hear less than ER when it comes to the Stones! I mean come on, there's so much they could choose from without having to resort to this.

They could choose ER instead of Miss You in some concerts they are quite similar songs, Beast of Burden should be played in every concert.

At least ER is fresh. They could drop Sympathy For The Devil at this point. It's so tired, let it go out to pasture.

You know that SFTD is a huge crowd pleaser right?

Is it? It certainly got a blasé welcome the first night of the American tour in Los Angeles that I attended. He's played out the so called drama of the cut to the point of stunning boredom. Jagger seems to think it absolutely has to be there and it absolutely doesn't.

A Stone sshow is a Stones show.
OK Glasto may have been kinda different but the Hyde Park shows are packed by "true" fans who may deserve a few less "obvious" songs.
Emotional rescue and Sway would b awesome IMHO

Trust me: you didn't miss anything by not getting ER in Glastonbury or Hyde Park. A 70-year-old man singing falsetto badly is not anything you need, want or should otherwise find yourself subjected to.

If you only have 20 song slots, why on earth would you pick some turkey like ER?
