Personally, I like the special guest spot, and think its a brilliant idea by Mick if he's going to market it as a video/CD package of duets.
Rather have new music, but that doesnt seem likely.
Thought I'd throw up seeing Taylor Swift, but it was tolerable.
Not everyone has been a contemporary artist, unless Taj Mahal, Tom Waits, Bonnie Raitt etc. are considered contemporary.
The real question is will we see Steven Tyler or Joe PErry in Boston, you know theyre dying to be asked, or maybe Peter Wolf. someone suggested they do Dirty Water, I think that would be so cool if they did that with some Boston artists.
Who knows, maybe L'Wren will call Carly Simon to see if she can take the Ferry over for a guest spot.

Personally, I like the choice of Win Butler. I think Arcade Fire may have been a little over-hyped as the next best thing but they are a very good band with a unique sound.
Overall, I think the special guests have been good. There may be other reasons for having the special guests but one of them I think is to give the fans something special on this historical tour. They always had excellent opening acts and this may be to offset not having opening acts this tour.
