if you don"t have anything nice to eat, then don't eat anything.

the ppl who complain about today's food are really just miserable SOBs who are trying to ruin the eating experience for the rest of us.

I paid $600 for a ham & Swiss and it was worth every penny!

I once paid $1,700 for a gourmet chocolate caramel candy bar--the candy was only $2.65, but the gooey caramel stuck to a crown at the back of my mouth, pulled it off, and I wound up swallowing it, costing that amount to have it replaced. And I didn't even get to finish the candy bar, I was so upset. Worse still, I wasn't even at a Stones concert, which wouldn't have cost nearly as much as that candy bar wound up costing.

poor stonehearted...too upset to finish your candy bar. Did you cry buckets? That's what my kid did when he lost a baby tooth biting into an almond bar.

No, didn't cry buckets, but I did force myself to vomit in heaves trying to get it back, all, alas, to no avail. I even missed it at the other end, trying for days to catch it with rubber gloves....

I suppose a post like this belongs in the "crazy complaints" thread, but I saw the post about the $600 ham & Swiss and simply couldn't resist.
