I love Chuck Berry, have seen him many times over the years and am eternally grateful for his performances he has given us. I wanted to play guitar because of him and his musical progeny. I am very sad to say he simply cannot play anymore. I saw him not long ago at the Howard Theatre in DC with three other guitar player friends. As much as we love him and what he gave the world he has slowed down to the point of perhaps considering having his son, a gifted player/performer cover all the guitar parts as it is painful to hear. I mean no harm and have the utmost respect for him and his lovely family and wish them all the best. Now Eddie Vedder would be fun to hear on CYHMK!

Great well balanced post !! - Hey Chuck would have a problem in these days of on line payment - how the hell could he swagger off into the dark with a brown bag of used bank notes after a gig!! - Stuff that legends were made of.

If Chuck isn't well enough to play then I understand that wouldn't work. I didn't realize he was in that bad of shape. That's too bad, as i love the man's work and what he's meant to so much of rock and roll's history.

Thanks for the info regarding Chuck.

Sadly, he should not be allowed to "perform"
anymore.

We have been there. Read the scores of reviews on ticketmaster, they are consistent with my experience. I love CB and wish him and his family only the best but it is what it is....

If they were ever going to bring up Chuck as a guest, it should have been in 1989.

B B King would be cool.
He was on the rumored list for Vegas as well as Chuck.

Having Paul McCartney sit in on I wanna be your man would also be memorable...

He's not in bad shape for his age.

Chuck is at the stage where he realises that any of the right notes aren't important.

I'd love to see it.

I'd love to see a pissin contest with him and Keith again.

Aside from an on stage Mick and Keith punch up, this could be another unforgettable moment in rock n roll.

Chuck Berry and The Rolling Stones together, yes please! Maybe Little Richard or Jerry Lee Lewis too?
