Bad mixing, even worse editing...why do these guys upload those live videos of the new tour on youtube? they don`t do justice what they do on stage. they sound much better than this...

Official? Why do you think they are official videos....IMO they are just mobile phone recordings............

Just read the comments on the videos. People are very negative.

still ill
Not only are the sound and editing appalling but,out of an
entire gig, they chose to include clips of Keith playing a solo in the wrong key and Ronnie blundering through Wild Horses. Incredible really

Because they're published on the official Rolling Stones YouTube channel?

The reason is because they still plan on releasing, in lieu of a new studio album, disc media (CDs, DVDs) versions of the tour at some point, so that they can put out a "new" album.
If people have perfect soundboard versions of concerts to download from YouTube, then who would want to buy the "new" product to be eventually released on CD and/or DVD?

THat's not the reason.
These are snippets, not full performances.
Terrible ones.
Someone needs slapping in the marketing/production team.
Word will spread, this will go viral.

But the reason the official Stones page only releases snippets is because if they put out full clips that would be tantamount to bootlegging themselves.

Incredible, yes!
Maybe it's because everything in Youtube sounds shit so they wanna follow the trend! =-)
Or maybe it's the trend of the day of music business that there's no money to anything, and sound-designers and mixers or editors are paid nothing... Because everything sounds shit anyway in Youtube and in ipods and nobody cares.
Like Keef said he still listens to real cd:s and vinyls and cassettes cause they just sound better than mp3's. And they really sound better. Just bought by the way Grrrrr as a Blue Ray Audio-disc, and THAT IS the thing!!! You can hear the difference to itunes mp3's, or whatever if you listen the same song switching between. And when the sound of the cd or blue-ray is better it's easier for ears, you can listen the songs longer, but with mp3's you, or i get tired after a few songs.
It's actually a miracle that music-industry is still alive. What other industry could have survived over ten years people stealing your products in the internet and royalties and fees from writing songs go down 200 %, or something. THAT's why everything sound shit nowadays, nobody cares and the sound-technicians are not hired like they used to be. They were the first ones to go cause nobody sees them. Thank You.
