OT: What are you watching this very second?
Posted by: lazzzybones ()
Date: April 19, 2013 14:41

May I be so bold as to offer an alternative to a very popular post-namely "What are you listening to this very second?"(only 252 pages!).
I'm sure many of you out there do your posting with a t.v. on.
So.... what are you watching this very second?
I got the classic 1964 "ZULU!" on cable-Micheal Caines first major role-gotta go now-the Zulu's are about to attack.

Was watching before I had to leave for work. Have now downloaded an app that is allowing me to listen to live Boston radio at my desk. Absolutely amazing situation to be following.

Peace,
Mr DJA

I can't believe 'white hat' is still on the loose! Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The guy is only 19!

The police killed his brother 'black hat' in a shoot out after a 7/11 stickup this morning. Just amazing stuff.

Newsroom South East; local news in Britain.

The weather girls aren't too bad looking on it. Alexis Green isn't too bad looking.

Everything's speculation right now, but the news is speculating that there may be more to it than just one remaining suspect and they're trying to keep the public safe as a result.

They're also saying they think 'white cap' is wounded/bleeding so if that's the case this can't last too much longer.

My sister ran in the Boston Marathon this year and her brother is a Boston emergency room physician who treated 30 patients Monday night. Both are OK, but watching this is very spooky.

I agree, the Boston situation is surreal. I've been watching CNN and the local channels. They just interviewed a girl who was a life guard with the suspect still at large, and she said he was such a " nice, caring guy"....yeah, until extremists got ahold of him and the older dead brother.

News reports say that it might last through tomorrow.

Luckily, I did all my shopping yesterday, so I'll just do a beer run and stay in tonight and tomorrow night.

Life will be back to normal on Sunday. In the meantime, we've still got the sun, the moon, and The Rolling Stones.

Edit: It may go through the whole weekend....

It's like the set-up for a joke: How many cops does it take to chase down a teenager in a stolen car?

Answer: More than a thousand, if today's news is any indication.

They have postponed Royals Vs Boston baseball tonight, for a man hunt, thats a first. [www.kansascity.com]

BOSTON — The series opener Friday between the Royals and Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park was postponed because of concerns related to the police manhunt for the surviving suspect in Monday’s bombing.

The Red Sox announced the postponement at 2 p.m. Central time — just over four hours prior to the scheduled 6:10 p.m. start. They cited a desire “to support efforts of law enforcement officers.”

There was no immediate announcement for a rescheduled date, although the likelihood is the teams will attempt to play a doubleheader either Saturday or Sunday because this is the Royals’ only visit this season to Boston.

All because the Boston police, state police, FBI, and Homeland Security can't catch a teenager driving around in a stolen car.

I guess if you want to steal a car and get away clean and free, Boston is the place to do it.

Sort of reminds me of the ending to the Blues Brothers movie--except that the Blues Brothers didn't get away in the end.

The Boston police (and all the rest) couldn't catch a drunk driver down a dead-end street.

Took a break from Boston horrors for some mindless levity of the Fashion Police. Will tune back in at 11 pm national news. Damn shame that no-good son-of-a-bitch terrorist bled all over that poor guy's boat! Probably got hit with bullets, too. Hope his insurance covers!

No, they didn't. It was only after they lifted the stupid martial law stay-in-your-house order that someone walked out of his house to notice that the boy was hiding out in his yard--otherwise they, the bungling Homeland Security's answer to the Keystone Cops, would still be out and about shooting and exploding things and not catching up to the teenager in a stolen car that they were obviously too inept and over the top to catch in the first place. They couldn't even catch a cold!

Hey, I'm not sure what your issue is with the Boston police, I'm not qualified to say so I'm not commenting on that at all. I'm just saying, "they've got him now", not assigning any kudos or blame.

I would only point out that because of the police action, that guy was unable to make a move left or right...
